RACE 2 No. 7 Eminent

The David Vandyke stable is having a good run at the moment and they can rack up another winner tomorrow with this promising galloper. Charged home late to score first up at the Sunshine Coast over 1200m aided by a quick early tempo, he’ll relish the step up to 1350m tomorrow and maps to settle better than midfield if ridden with purpose early on. Look out in the straight!

RACE 7 No. 9 La Scopa

Plenty of value about this filly who is on a path to the Oaks. Although unplaced behind Torvill here a fortnight back she should definitely have finished closer than the official 4.25 length margin. She made good ground early in the straight before being held up when trying to angle to the outside, once clear she hit the line well and did look to have more to offer. Well worth a throw at the stumps.

RACE 9 No. 5 California Turbo

Absolutely luckless here a fortnight back when checked twice in the run losing anywhere between 4 and 5 lengths as a result. His form in Sydney over the autumn was certainly good enough to figure here having beaten the likely favourite in this race tomorrow Dark Dream at Listed level over 1400m. Although that runner does appear well placed I’m throwing the speedmap and wide gate out the window!
