RACE 3 No.2 Corfe Castle

Hasn’t come up with the best of alleys for his debut outing however his trial suggests he’s above average. He clocked in a very soft second at the Gold Coast behind the smart Midnight In Tokyo who ran the unbeaten Nettuno to a small margin in the Ken Russell on the same track recently. Corfe Castle was going just as well to the line and with an ounce of luck today can figure prominently in the finish.

RACE 4 No.3 Peter The Piper

Lightly raced local galloper who put in a career worst here last start when after beginning well struck some trouble and then wanted to overrace. He did his chances no good whatsoever and faded right out of the race from the 200m. His previous outings were all good ones and this field is not strong, a return to that better form sees him hard to beat today.

RACE 8 No.4 Joy Too All

Terrific mare from the David Vandyke yard who resumes tomorrow with a very impressive fresh record. Although this trip is short of her best she has plenty on the opposition and note did go around in a jumpout here last Sunday, that was won by the current Queensland Oaks favourite Gypsy Goddess with this one clocking in 3rd under a very strong hold indeed, the jock would have woken up with sore arms Monday morning! Short odds, should be winning.
