Keep in mind RUSSIAN ALLIANCE could also be unbeaten if not for running into trouble on debut at Toowoomba. I’ll lean her way however I know OCEANS OF ENERGY will be strong late & am in no way am I knocking. BRAVE AGENDA gets Angela Jones to steer, is from down south & a definite market watch. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet: Box up top 2 selections in exotics RACE 2 Difficult race. I’ve landed on COPPLESON however it more a process of elimination than anything else. He has no speed & is very once-paced however the longer trip will suit & he’ll definitely be there at the business end still running on whilst others may not be. Good gate for CLYDE who doesn’t look far off another win. Happy to take on APPLICATIONS who jumps sharply in distance. Numbers: 15 – 5 – 1 – 14 Suggested Bet: COPPLESON EACH-WAY (very small) RACE 3 With SPANGLER a scratching electing to go around at Hawkesbury instead it paves the way for ALBURQ to win. Good fresh running on he’ll appreciate the step up in trip & drawn to gain a nice smother until called upon. ROUSSEAU hit the line strongly in the same race as ALBURQ last start, didn’t fire last prep looks to have come back better this time. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet: ALBURG TO WIN RACE 4 BEAUX RUMBLE is an honest type who ran a good race here last start up on the speed. They did run along suggesting his effort to be only run down late was a solid one. If he can get across ok here from the awkward alley should prove tough to get past once again. Right down the bottom the emergency RING OF STEEL likely misses a run however if he does sneak in the field he’s a definite winning chance on that super impressive first up Ipswich win. Good draw for MOTOMISS who did make ground last start, sneaky chance in a tough race. Numbers: 10 – 24 – 7 – 11 Suggested Bet: BEAUX RUMBLE EACH-WAY (small) RACE 5 I’m a big SWEET MARGOT MAY fan & suggest she’s going to be very hard to beat. Outstanding win first up here 5 weeks ago closing from near last to take over & come clear to the line. She’s been kept nice & fresh which is how she races best & I’m confidently with her again. SHAMROCK LU is another who will get back & run on, first up effort was solid & is very good second up. Stablemate SALATEEN not without a chance either, can make use of the favourable draw. Numbers: 12 – 15 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet: SWEET MARGO MAY TO WIN RACE 6 Going with value in this race putting AT WITZ END on top at odds. Tidy effort behind the smart & in-form IRISH SONGS last start & note Ryan Maloney jumps back on, the combination had a good run a couple of preps back winning multiple races here over this trip. LEGAL ESPRIT worries me at 1350m however with the claim, good gate & the price on offer he just has to go in. TILIANAM draws well & will gain a gun run. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 16 – 14 Suggested Bet: AT WITZ END (small each-way) RACE 7 Even though she’s drawn the car park I do keep coming back to WOLVERINE here. She was narrowly beaten last week however just looks better than the opposition in this race & with luck early to get across should prove hard to beat. There’s not a lot between many other runners, the in-form BEAUTIFUL HEART may be the best of them. Numbers: 1 – 14 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet: Box up first 4 in exotics RACE 8 Thought this looked a suitable race for TUMBLER RIDGE who has had the 3 runs back from a break which have been spaced however he goes into this race with only a 2-week gap between outings which is needed as he does rise to the mile. He’s yet to put in a bad one this prep & has a good record here at the track. SKYMAN was ok fresh, can come to hand quickly & draws well. Include CEPHEUS who may lead, did so two runs back when winning in Sydney. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 3 – 15 Suggested Bet: TUMBLER RIDGE EACH-WAY RACE 9 The Listed Mick Dittman Plate is the race of the day, cracking bunch of 3yo’s to do battle. I’m a big fan of both the BOOM’s being GOLDEN & CHINNY & have no knock on either. Just felt LADY LAGUNA had the best form lines coming through some strong Sydney races behind very smart types. Maps well & looks a good each-way chance. Don’t overlook BEZIQUE who beat GOLDEN BOOM in the lead up trial, not a great alley however is definitely worth a saver at the price. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 10 – 17 Suggested Bet: Box up first 4 in exotics Market Market
