James Cummings trained galloper who is absolutely flying this preparation having won all 4 starts. Happy to concede all have been in easier affairs with small fields in each however he can only win which he has been doing very impressively. Handles wet ground and looked very good winning a recent trial. Confident he can measure up.

RACE 6 No.4 Inference

Team Hawkes galloper who comes off a Group 1 Randwick Guineas victory on a bog track last start and is likely to face similar conditions tomorrow. The step up to 2000m will pose no problems as he placed in the 2500m Victoria Derby at Flemington in the spring racing without luck. No reason he can’t bring up leg two of the triple crown tomorrow on his way the Australian Derby in a fortnight’s time.

RACE 9 No.7 Vandancer

Michael Moroney trained mare who looks well suited stepping up in distance tomorrow. She didn’t have the clearest of runs at Randwick last time out however did hit the line strongly once seeing daylight however too late for her to wind up and reel in the leading pair. Placed at her only start on Heavy ground (won only Soft run) she won’t have any problems in the wet conditions.
