RACE 1 No.13 Andermatt

Looking forward to this opening race where we see a very short-priced favourite in Vowmaster go around. Whilst I have no knock on him I’d much rather take the better odds about this Snitzel colt from the Godolphin yard who resumes off a solid break. I can’t see why the gap between the pair in the market is as big as it is and I’m more than happy to back this one on an each-way basis.

RACE 5 No.4 Tiger Of Malay

Really good, exciting race is this year’s Silver Slipper. I’m with this unbeaten colt from the Freedman yard who was heavily backed on debut back in October. The form from that race has stacked up well and his recent lead-up trial was a good one clocking in third behind the highly rated pair Shaquero and Remarque. Obviously he’s an unknown on the likely Heavy ground however should he get through it he’ll prove tough to beat.

RACE 9 No.5 Fulmina

Consistent mare who will be suited by the likely Heavy going tomorrow. Close up her last couple in Group 3 and Listed company she drops back to restricted grade with a 2kg claim for jockey Tommy Sherry. The wide gate may not be an issue under the conditions and will surely suit her strong finish. Likely good value.
