Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets

RACE 2 No.4 Joymaker

Should be ready to go here third run back from a break stepping to the suitable 1830m trip. Both runs back have been solid finishing close up over 1350/1400m when not fancied at all in the market. Jim Byrne jumps back aboard tomorrow and no jockey has a better affiliation with her than he does having won twice on her last campaign. Gate 1 in the small field suits.

RACE 7 No.3 Tycoon Evie

Progressive filly from the Rex Lipp stable whom he describes as a ‘grinder’, that being the case she should be suited by the step up to 1600m tomorrow. A winner here a fortnight back when strong to the line late she’s being talked up by the yard as a possible Queensland Guineas/Queensland Oaks type. If that’s the case she’ll need to run well here and I think she will.

RACE 9 No.1 Stuttering

Most consistent galloper from the Heathcote yard who is busting to win a race and tomorrow’s assignment looks very suitable. Beaten an eyelash on Magic Millions Day by The Odyssey he then led before surprisingly handing up last start when failing narrowly to run down the winner (who ended up leading). With the claiming apprentice on board tomorrow expect him to find the front early and hopefully stay there!
