Chris Nelson’s Randwick Best Bets Posted on September 20, 2019 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Best Bets RACE 5 No.7 Cascadian Racing at Randwick tomorrow will be on a heavy track after a deluge of rain earlier in the week. We need to find the wet trackers and although this one is yet to race on heavy ground he has recorded 2 wins on soft going which gives a good indication he’ll get through it. The step up to 1400m appears ideal off the back of a fast finishing 1200m run first up. Trialled in good order since and should go very close. RACE 8 No.18 Supernova Team Hawkes trained galloper who resumed with a solid finishing effort in the Listed Rowley Mile at Hawkesbury charging home from last early on to miss by less than a length. He’s had the one attempt on heavy ground for a win at Rosehill 4 starts back in very positive fashion. Twice a second up winner he looks all set to improve on that record tomorrow. RACE 9 No.14 Roheryn The general consensus is the jury is out re this one from the Godolphin team. Not sure why as he’s only missed a placing once from 5 attempts which include 3 wins! Giving away a big start here last start in only a moderately run race he still clocked a strong closing sectional. One start on heavy ground for one win his pattern may be suited running on wide out tomorrow as that ground may prove superior by the time we reach this final event.
