Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 1, 2025July 1, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 CHASE ME (9) is a boom pacer who made a successful debut in the west in his only start here, he looks to still have some teething issues but on ability alone he should be winning this with a leg in the air. LAZI DAIS (6) has come back in top class form, this will be a good test, but the winners have had arrogance to them. HIGHVIEW HEIDI (7) is a versatile filly who can get into the money, she is consistent. IM MASSIMO (8) has a tough draw to overcome, has plenty of early speed. KINKY (10) has come back well, this is harder, and the draw could work out to be awkward. DAMAGE DONE (12) has improved, will be running on well and ART IDEAL (11) is heading in the right direction. Tips: 9 6 7 12 Suggested Bet: LAZI DAIS (6) to place. Race 2 Wide open race. CHERRY ON THE CAKE (2) has come back well and think they’ll be aggressive to try and lead here, she will run a bold race if she can get to the top. JOLTED CHARM (1) is a lot better than she is showing, can improve but they may be a bit more conservative. MY ULTIMATE KEVVIE (6) was decent enough on return, just needs to find a position. LUHRSY (8) is going well but the draw is not ideal. JUST ALL STYLE (11), SHEHADI (10) and GALVINSTON JOHN (12) all are capable, just depends on tempo in running. Novelty chances and excuses can be made for many more. Tips: 2 6 8 10 Suggested Bet: CHERRY ON THE CAKE (2) each way. Race 3 MADAM MAGGIE (1) has a lovely draw and has come back to racing well, as has the whole stable for David Gravolin, she has options from the draw and can be prominent. REBLINE (7) is a talented type and looks a danger in the event, her closing speed is first class and in this grade they can drive her more confidently. FRANKIE J HOLDEN (11) can watch things unfold and perform well. ARTFUL MAJOR (10) has disappointed since resuming, soft draw, looking for improvement. COVERNOTE (3) creates interest on return with WELEASE WODDEWICK (5). FRANKIE MAJOR (9) is a novelty chance but draw is a great leveller with ALTA FREEWAY (8). Tips: 1 7 11 10 Suggested Bet: MADAM MAGGIE (1) each way. Race 4 Intriguing event. All horses in the field have plusses and minuses to their chances. BETTOR HAVE FAITH (1) is a better horse with a sit for mine but they may try and hold up and then she can get a little bit fiery. THE BEACH MASTER (2) was solid enough on Friday and has plenty of speed but he too, can get fiery. OUR LADY JEN (3) hasn’t reached her best since returning but the class and draw look to suit her well. GETN WIGGY WITHIT (4) has been trialling up well and looks a major player on return. HENRIK LARSSON (5) is second up and his best is up to these. BEAT THE BANK (7) needs luck and performs better on the rails so the draw hurts his chances. OUR VINNIE (8) tricky horse to follow and comes in fresh and CHILLIN (9) also returns but has a level of versatility that can see him play a part. Tips: 4 3 9 1 Suggested Bet: OUR LADY JEN (3) each way. Race 5 SOHO VESPER LIND (1) really caught the eye last time out and comes up with the good draw, she is a good front running type and although it’s a deep race I expect her to go close. RAKERO RAIDER (2) drawn beautifully and will likely be behind the leader and can handle the rise in grade, novelty chance. WINEGUM (6) and CORDERO (7) both dropping from metro company and are very capable, but they are more likely to need tempo in the race. SOUND WAVE (4) always requires luck but continues to hit the line strongly. CAPTAIN CONFETTI (5) creates interest. Tips: 1 2 4 6 Suggested Bet: SOHO VESPER LIND (1) to win. Race 6 CARA DIANA (2) was stiff last time out, she is racing well and is ready to win, she is likely to be short enough but expecting her to get the job done here. CHRISTOPHANO (4) has shown promise but can mix form, likely to run a bold race here and likely to head forward. IM BEGGING YOU (1) is a place chance if she can do it all correctly. RAMTASTIC (5) has shown enough to be thought of into the novelties with BARTLETT (6), ELEGANT EAGLE (7) and GALIFIANAKIS (8), the draws hurt their chances though. Tips: 2 4 5 7 Suggested Bet: CARA DIANA (2) to win. Market Market
