Yes he’s a short price favourite in the Fred Best this unbeaten galloper from the Price/Kent stable in Melbourne however on what we’ve seen to date the quote is justified as his wins have all been very soft. Super jockey Jamie Kah makes the trip north to ride in a race he has to win to make the Stradbroke field in a two weeks, a race he is also favourite in. I’m confident he can get the job done and shorten up further for the big one in a fortnight’s time.

RACE 7 No.9 Senor Toba

Drawn the extreme outside in the Group 1 Queensland Derby however his pattern is to get back suggesting it may not be such a bad thing. Put the writing on the wall working home from the back in the Rough Habit (2000m) at Doomben in a race not run to suit at all, he was the only runner in the race to break 12 seconds his final 200m. Plenty of ticks for her tomorrow.
