Chris’ Canterbury Best Bets Posted on November 4, 2016November 7, 2016 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 5 No. 2 Inz’n’out Three runs back from a break should have this one ready to go. Close up efforts at his past couple of starts behind good types Speith and Kaepernick he’ll find this an easier task. His record here at Canterbury is solid having placed both starts here with one being over this 1200m trip. Although up in the weights the 2kg claim will assist and he looks hard to beat. RACE 6 No. 5 Sir Plush Bjorn Baker trained galloper who is building up a good record having won 4 of his 10 starts to date. Overcame difficulties to score first up at Rosehill before a solid second at Randwick a fortnight back when sitting handy to the pace. He meets Reincarnate who beat him home last start 2kg better off at the weights which should be enough to turn the tables. RACE 8 No. 3 Eschiele Godolphin trained gelding who was well fancied in the Queensland Derby during the winter off a couple of promising lead up performances. He didn’t fire in the Group 1 however looks well placed tomorrow at his 3rd start back from a break. He’ll relish the step up to 1900m, draws to gain a soft run, drops in grade and weight after Nick Heywood’s claim. Great each-way value at present.
