Scott’s Saturday Belmont Preview Posted on July 14, 2017July 14, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ROSEWOOD HILL is dynamite off a short turn around. Backing up from last weekend, down in the weights and Pike on she is the one to beat. GATTING lost no admirers in the Aquinita, clearly second best. NORTH RIDGE was far from disgraced in the Strickland. SHINTA MANI is getting out to a suitable trip. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – ROSEWOOD HILL WIN Race 2 MIZLECKI has gone under a beaten short priced favourite her last two. Up to 1200m ridden with a sit she should improve sharply. ASK LISA was an eye catcher on debut. PEARL TRADE gets back from an inside alley which could prove awkward. SALUBRIOUS is right up in the weights now but he is tough. Numbers: 7 – 10 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – MIZLECKI WIN Race 3 GALAXY STAR could be Bob Peters’ next big thing. She is waltzing through her grades with ease. BARAKI BEATS is very hard to catch but he will pinch one sooner rather than later. PROFIT STREET shouldn’t spend a penny in running. CANDLELIGHT STAR is the X-Factor horse with raw brilliance. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – BARAKI BEATS PLACE Race 4 HIGH CONVICTION returned to racing in a blaze of glory. She looks a very smart animal. MORE ACES flopped badly first-up last preparation and again this preparation. Expect sharp improvement back to 3 year old company. ENCHANTED DREAM is another exciting filly but probably has to go back to almost last. TOP OF THE CLASS is consistent. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – HIGH CONVICTION WIN Race 5 BELTER can be forgiven for his last run on a genuinely soft track. Provided the rain stays away he should go very close. SHARPBOB was an impressive effort on speed in tougher company last start. HELLO PARIS has been trialing well for her return. MASSACHUSETTS continues to run eye catchers from well off the speed. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – BELTER WIN Race 6 GOMER WIPPLE was excellent in defeat when charging home late. If he settles a little closer he can turn the tables on the favourite. NELSON’S FLIGHT was exceptionally strong on speed last start. He deserves to be as short as he is. TRAVELLIN’ is as consistent as they come and must feature in exotics. BY DECREE gets a soft run from the gate. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – GOMER WIPPLE WIN Race 7 FIRST AMONG EQUALS is simply classes above rivals but must carry the weight as a result. Flies fresh and is a proven weight carrier. POTENT SECRET is a jump and run type who will be there for a long way, definite place hope. IT’S IT is another tough on-pacer. WOOLIBAR will go back and run on. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 7 – 11 Suggested Bet – FIRST AMONG EQUALS WIN Race 8 SHOWY CHLOE has been relatively disappointing this preparation. If she brings anywhere near her best form she wins. NEW TIME is almost 10 years old but he is going very well. FRIARESQUE will need some luck coming from last. BUSTER’S SHADOW returned from a long absence with a strong effort. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 9 – 12 Suggested Bet – SHOWY CHLOE EACHWAY SuperPick - Race 8 No. 3 SHOWY CHLOE - Money Back – Run 2nd Quaddie (Race 5-8) 1,3,7,8,9 6,7 1 3,6,9,11,12 Bet Now
