Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 14, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: CHOICES FLOORING JOONDALUP 3YO MS PACE THE PUBLISHER (1) started from the back row when a narrow winner over HEEZ MANLY (2) before leading throughout in a weaker field here last week. He has the draw and looks hard to be beat despite the rise in class. HEEZ MANLY (2) was beaten a head by THE PUBLISHER (1) as a $1.20 favourite before leading throughout at Pinjarra and should be right in the mix. MESSI (10) led throughout to beat a strong field last start and should enjoy a nice trip. VAMPIRO (3) faced the breeze for a close 2nd at his Oz debut and must be a hope. Tips: 1 2 10 3 Suggested Bet: THE PUBLISHER (1) to win. Race 2: CHOICES FLOORING MYAREE MARES MS PACE DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK (10) was an impressive winner here last week after working hard in the run but still proving too strong. This draw could work out nicely as she will trail the likely leader and will be hard to beat with any luck. QUITE A DELIGHT (8) didn’t produce anything like her best last campaign and hasn’t trialled but would win this at her best. SHES ARTFUL (1) looks the likely leader and will give them something to catch. MARY CATHERINE (11) was a good 2nd last start and looks an each way chance. Tips: 10 8 1 11 Suggested Bet: DONEGAL RUNDLESCREEK (10) to win. Race 3: CHOICES FLOORING BUSSELTON MS PACE THEREUGO (5) has found the front at two of his last four starts and has won on both occasions. He looks a good chance to cross at the start and will give them something to catch. ROCK DIAMONDS (8) is a talented 3YO who ran a close 2nd in the WA Derby three starts back and is capable of overcoming the wide draw. RED SALUTE (9) has finished down the track at his last nine starts but drops in class and shouldn’t be overlooked. CAMPORA (11) led throughout to win in 1.55.6 last week and is a winning chance. Tips: 5 8 9 11 Suggested Bet: THEREUGO (5) to win. SuperPick - Race 3 No. 5 THEREUGO - Money Back – Run 2nd Race 4: CHOICES FLOORING BUNBURY MS PACE AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (5) has won four of his five starts in fine style. He is capable of working in his races and looks the one to beat again. DANIELJOHN (1) is a capable frontrunner and must be a chance on his close last start 2nd to Natural Disaster. SOHO CHELSEA (4) has won his last two starts and is ready for a rise in class. JAMBIANI (9) won two in a row recently and should have finished closer when 4th to Chicago Bull last start but is drawn wide here. Tips: 5 1 4 9 Suggested Bet: AMERICANBOOTSCOOTA (5) to win. Race 5: CHOICES FLOORING KALGOORLIE THE CHANDON QUALIFYING HEAT 2 MS PACE MOTU PREMIER (2) has been ultra-impressive in winning his three WA starts and looks extremely hard to beat from this barrier. ZACH MAGUIRE (4) couldn’t get into the race last start but rated 1.52.6 in his previous run when winning by 18m. He has the disadvantage of drawing outside his main rival but looks the only danger. KING LEBRON (10) and CYCLONE MITCH (1) are both drawn to get nice runs on the pegs and can be in the money. Tips: 2 4 10 1 Suggested Bet: MOTU PREMIER (2) to win. Race 6: CHOICES FLOORING GERALDTON MS PACE CHICAGO BULL (4) continues to take all before him and couldn’t have been more impressive in sweeping around the field and recording a 1.52.6 win last start. He is clearly the best horse in WA and should win again. THE BUCKET LIST (5) has returned from a spell in great form and looks a great chance for the quinella. BEAUDIENE BOAZ (8) had his chance to beat his stablemate last start but was far from disgraced when 2nd to CHICAGO BULL (4) and can be placed again. OUR JERICHO (1) looks a good place chance from the draw. Tips: 4 5 8 1 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (4) to win. Race 7: CHOICES FLOORING 2YO GOLDEN SLIPPER MS PACE JACK MAC (2) has won his five Australian starts in style and has proven himself to be the state’s best 2YO colt. He is drawn perfectly and is clearly the one to beat. COTT BEACH (4) is the state’s best 2YO filly and may utilise her blistering gate speed to get in front of the favourite at the start. GOLDEN STATE (6) has plenty of ability but his winning chances have been hurt by drawing outside his two main rivals. HIGHROLLER JOE (12) was a strong last start winner and can overcome the back line draw. Tips: 2 4 6 12 Suggested Bet: JACK MAC (2) to win. Race 8: CHOICES FLOORING ALBANY HANDICAP SS PACE RUB OF THE GREEN (7) has tackled easier assignments from big handicaps at his first two runs back from a spell and looks well placed here off a 10m handicap. JASON RULZ (5) hasn’t recaptured his NZ form but was very good from the tapes back there and could improve tonight. Stablemates MCCLINCHIE (2) and THE TRILOGY (3) are both capable and either would be hard to catch if they found the front. Tips: 7 5 2 3 Suggested Bet: RUB OF THE GREEN (7) to win. Race 9: CHOICES FLOORING MIDLAND MS PACE LIVURA (2) has been placed at four of past five starts, all from awkward draws. He gets the barrier here to bounce back into the winners’ circle and looks the one to beat. SPRINTER (12) has been placed at his last eight starts and is capable of overcoming the back line draw. MAKO SHADOW (1) doesn’t have the class of his two main rivals but has the barrier to be competitive. JUMPING AT SHADOWS (3) was a strong 2nd here last week and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 2 12 1 3 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (2) to win. Race 10: CHOICES FLOORING NORTHAM 3YO WESTBRED MS PACE BLAZING SADDLES (1) faced the breeze when 2nd at Narrogin before leading throughout to beat a moderate field at Pinjarra. This is a step up in class but he has the draw to give a sight. MIDNIGHT MAN (3) has finished 2nd at his last two starts in stronger company and must be considered. BUDD SIDEWINDER (8) has a nice turn of foot and will be right in the mix if there is a solid tempo. SUSIE ROCKS (9) did things wrong on debut but obviously has her share of ability. Tips: 1 3 8 9 Suggested Bet: BLAZING SADDLES (1) to win. Bet Now
