Scott’s Wednesday Belmont Preview Posted on September 5, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 STRATOSPHILLY has been a tease all her career, showing glimpses of middle distance ability but lacking a killer blow. SADEIKO comes from the same race and hit the line well. Blinkers on, drawn to race closer to the speed. COSTA OESTE and OUR MAORI boy both have senior riders added for the first time this preparation. Numbers: 11 – 6 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – STRATOSPHILLY WIN SuperPick - Race 1 No. 11 STRATOSPHILLY - Money Back Race 2 DYNAMITE DREAM has trialed like a nice horse. If she can find the fence from barrier 8 she will be extremely hard to chase down. REYKJAVIK was asked for little in a recent jump out. Form as a 2 year old was very handy. SHE’S VITAL ran well behind a talented pair in Showcase and Arrum Boy. DEMTIMES was green as grass in the same race. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – DYNAMITE DREAM WIN Race 3 GET OVER IT will no doubt be the shortest priced favourite on the card and this race simply looks his for the taking. His form lines are far superior to rivals. OMINOUS WARNING could be a sharp improver if he goes forward and is allowed to run. SUPPOSITION finally broke back into the winners’ circle last start. NICCATRICE could bob up in the minors at odds. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – GET OVER IT WIN Race 4 MULTIVERSE was an impressive first-up victory over a subsequent winner. Can go on with it here. VALTIMOR brings some intrigue to an otherwise moderate class 1 event. His recent trial was effortless and his Eastern States first-up form reads up well. A PATCH ON KNEE was an alarming drifter at Northam and raced accordingly. SECRET CHARGE may be worth keeping an eye on. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – MULTIVERSE WIN Race 5 DISCO RIFFIC should be able to position up close enough from barrier 1 in a very evenly graded 1000m race. ON THE TURPS was backed as if unbeatable last start and duly saluted. Question remains where he gets to from an outside gate. FLOWER OF SCOTLAND won well fresh at Northam. WINGS OF HOPE goes well fresh and can slide forwards from the gate. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 12 Suggested Bet – DISCO RIFFIC EACHWAY Race 6 GOLGOTHA broke through at Northam when he was ridden for speed. From the gun alley he can box seat and go on with it. ABSOLUTE MAGIC was fairly green racing fresh at 1400m. Looks a real grinder who will appreciate a bit of tempo. DETROIT DIESEL was caught in an awkward position in his first run since the 2015 Vic Derby. SHADOW BOXER trialed well enough for his new stable. Numbers: 4 – 11 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – GOLGOTHA WIN Race 7 ZEFIRO ran straight for Shaun O’Donnell in Saturday grade. He normally does a lot wrong and is accordingly hard to catch. EXCUSE ME MAK is going better than numerical form suggests. Probably sneaks under the radar. STEP RIGHT UP has tackled stronger races than this his whole career. MATER REMEDY raced flat last start, leads or box-seats. Numbers: 6 – 13 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet –ZEFIRO EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,3,5 3,4,5,6,7,12 3,4,11 1,4,6,9,13 Bet Now
