Glenn Ingram’s Saturday Flemington Preview Posted on November 6, 2026November 6, 2026 | Posted by Glenn Ingram Race 1 SOLDI is talented and has race experience meeting a few questionable debutants from what’s been on display at the jumpouts. Sticking with her to win again with her professionalism to get her home under B Shinn. RUSTY PEARL is another professional type from the Ciaron Maher stable, jumpouts have been good enough to at least be competitive if she handles the occasion. GODDESS KAY by Frankel shown speed in two jumpouts for Corstens & Larkin, sure to be prepped up to win on debut and PALMILLA by Hanseatic, jumpouts have her in the mix for John Sadler. Selections: 4,13,7,12 Suggested Bet: SOLDI win Race 2 Tom Dabernig may have pulled the right rein scratching FIORENOT from Thursday’s Oaks meeting in a stronger race for this easier assignment and a perfect draw, won third-up previously and can carry the weight if the track remains on the good side. SUPERFABULISTIC is the one to run down, no luck last time out and looks to get a cheap time of it in the run. Two that can sprint well fresh for Team McEvoy are SILVASISTA and OPTIONS, both will appreciate the 1600m first-up. Selections: 2,13,8,7 Suggested Bet: FIORENOT win Race 3 PINHOLE jogged around for practice in the G2 Moonee Valley Cup held here a fortnight ago, jammed on the rail and never got a crack at them, it’s not an ideal prep a slow race into this but in the right stable to have the work kept up to him for a more genuine 2600m. Middle draw, should be midfield on an even speed and given his chance. Big watch runner is DEFIANTLY for Joseph O’Brien, the Irish import has a good horses weight and is the obvious threat, owner-mate VAUBAN could be the one putting the speed on. BERKLEY SQUARE loves Flemington and was good chasing against the pattern at Bendigo. Selections: 4,1,3,8 Suggested Bet: PINHOLE win Race 4 (Best Bet) Typical sprint race where the speed is not so obvious, backing the mare HANKEE ALPHA to repeat her first-up win albeit on wet ground, she was never a factor 2nd up where she raced without luck. Better drawn out wide on the track and can sprint best. INKARUNA is a good straight-line performer and was 2L off Flying For Fun here last time, that’s a good platform into this race and deserves her place in betting, IMMORTAL STAR, PHOTOGRAPH and GRAND IMPACT all have genuine claims. Selections: 17,6,11,9 Suggested Bet: HANKEE ALPHA win – Maps well third-up with rain forecast on the day which adds to her chances and draws a better barrier this time Race 5 (Wildcard) Wide open Matriarch Stakes for the girls over 2000m, ZULEIKA is one who can improve sharply third-up rising to 2000m which her best trip on a mare with more to come. TOO DARN DISCREET is well-weighted and was heavily backed last time here and returned with an issue, she’s another winning chance. SOVERATO was set for the Tesio and enjoyed all favours in the run to score, maps to get every chance to repeat. VIVY AIR back against her own sex after having no luck in the stronger Craven Plate, well-placed. Selections: 7,5,4,8 Suggested Bet: ZULEIKA 1 x 3 Race 6 JOLIESTAR is a proven straight track winner and will appreciate MAZU ensuring the race is run at a genuine clip. Taking on star mare and Everest winner TEMPTED first time up the straight is the unknown, happy to watch her first go. CABALLUS is another who can take beating ridden positive should be tagging the speed the whole way. POINT BARROW and SKYBIRD best of those coming from the back. Selections: 7,6,2,4 Suggested Bet: JOLIESTAR win Race 7 AUTUMN GLOW regarded as Australasia’s best horse up until a fortnight ago and the arrival of Point Of Law. She’s an easy bet to have taking on mostly moderate opposition, TOM KITTEN can offer some resistance, blinkers go on and building to a win this campaign. BUCKAROO has had some hard racing which holds him in good stead to be competitive again. LINDERMANN will go forward, Sydney form doesn’t translate to Melbourne. Soft winner last start when left alone. Selections: 8,1,3,2 Suggested Bet: Exotics 8/1,3 Race 8 Taking a line through the Underwood Stakes earlier in the spring there are two key chances. COSMIC CRUSADER holds the key to the race, if there’s a fast speed he would be very hard to beat, a soft track would only his chances increase further, if they go slow, a horse such as BIRDMAN can beat him. AELIANA is ever consistent and looking to topple both, staying at 2040m the others may have the edge. OMNI MAN ran well in the Geelong Cup, may find this harder. Selections: 1,5,10,9 Suggested Bet: COSMIC CRUSADER win Race 9 (Best Value) ROYAL RENDEZVOUS has a good race in him he just needs everything to go right on the day and may get that set-up over 1100m up in class with strong speed engaged. He’s a value play in the last getting to the outside and charging home. ELECTRIC ELVIS is tough and consistent and holding his form, maps to trail the fast speed from his wide draw, he’ll get his chance if good enough. EDUCATED was well-backed to win last start and kept fresh for this, slow start to the prep but may have turned a corner. TORSHEEN creates interest first-up as does ROHESIA jumping out well to return. Selections: 14,8,6,5 Suggested Bet: ROYAL RENDEZVOUS 1 x 3 MULTI: R1#4 win, R6#7 place, R9#14 place
