Race 1

CHARLIES TACTICS (8) faces a tricky draw in his WA debut but reads up for a race of this nature and will be hard to beat, Gary Hall Jnr drives and is known to be able to escape the tricky situations so expecting a big run. ULTIMATE TESS (10) wasn’t a fan of the standing start last week and we rule a line through that and move back to the mobile where she has been very consistent, go well. GRAND MAJESTIC BELLS (12) is a versatile type who is better suited to this grade and can be put into the event. MRIYA DREAM (11) performs better when he is on speed therefore the draw is challenging. ELISH STAR (1) a novelty chance from the draw but has had many opportunities and isn’t racing at his best.

Race 2

VALENTINO (2) looks a nice type, all trials have been good and has the draw advantage and can kick off his career with a win, won’t be a walk in the park though as FUNNY AS (5) has also been very impressive in trials and has some good early speed, they look the quinella to fight it out. EXPRESSING (4) is the most experienced runner in the field, always close but unable to break through, think she’s a place chance at best again here today. KINGSHOTT (6) faces a tough ask from the draw and CLOSING INN (8) was patchy in trials but has the soft draw with CAPTAIN ITALIANO (1).

Suggested Bet: VALENTINO/FUNNY AS to Quinella.

Race 3

IDEAL DIAMOND (12) is a nice animal, second up today from a challenging draw but has incredible high speed and can overcome the draw, it might be farfetched but I liked the run of the stablemate on Saturday and when looking at a small stable, progression with one normally means the other will bounce back too, pretty keen on her chances. ROCKNROLL EAGLE (5) was a solid effort on debut and continues to improve, has the speed to potentially lead this and give them something to catch. THE SEA SIREN (11) will appreciate this drop in grade, has been racing some of the best and performing admirably, can be put into the event. HIGHVIEW ROZI (1) nicely drawn and is a novelty chance with IN FULL FLIGHT (7) who faces a tough draw.

Suggested Bet: IDEAL DIAMOND (12) to win.

Race 4

Plenty of chances here. STRAYLYA (9) is a horse I’ve been following for a while and think he could be the right price to play again here, back row is never easy but looks suited and should settle close enough. CHIEF COPY (2) will be looking to lead but doubt he can hold SONIC SEELSTER (4) who is speedy but finding it hard to break through. BE HOME SOON (6) is racing with consistency, will head forward and look for a spot, should stick on well. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (5) and KARAOKE STAR (7) both need luck from their respective draws. STIRUP IRON JACK (8) faces a tricky draw following out a moderate beginner.

Suggested Bet: STRAYLYA (9) each way.

Race 5

CAPTAIN SAID SO (5) struck trouble last time out and forget he went around, two starts ago was a massive winner and looks a big chance to find the top here and be the one to beat. WAVE REBELLION (11) made ground in a poorly run race for her style, she drops back to this grade and will love the bigger track to make ground, she will look threatening at some stage. COLD HARD CASH (1) has the perfect draw, with a sprint lane in place you’d imagine be leaders back and get a look at them late. FLYING FELIX (2) is a consistent type but isn’t one they do too much with early in his races. TWOBOB CRACKER (4) has some early speed and might get forward, he is racing well enough to feature with WALL STREET GIRL (10) and BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (7).

Suggested Bet: CAPTAIN SAID SO (5) to win.

Race 6

IL BANDITO (1) will look to try and lead after a nice run last start coming from the rear, has the draw at the short trip and will want to go the distance. ICY COLD (2) can be a quick beginner but has also fallen into a nasty habit of doing things wrong off the gate, from the draw she can settle close enough without being burnt and be dangerous. TASHS SPARTAN (8) comes in fresh and can be a bit hoppy so needs to be on his best to hold that position. BALTIC ACE (3) is improving with every run and needs to settle close enough and will run on with MACHANE SAID (9).

Tips: 2 9 1 3

Suggested Bet: ICY COLD (2) to win.

Race 7

OUR CRUNCH TIME (2) won with authority last time out and expect him to be driven forward again to the top here, he is a good type with a real want to lift when they get near him, hard to beat. SOHO MOONRAKER (1) may take the softer option given he is first up and there is a sprint lane, could be dangerous with the last look. ROCKOKOKO (6) is highly talented but may end up in the breeze here, he will appreciate the bigger track. SOHO THE REAL DEAL (8) might improve after a narrow victory last time out, soft run the pegs could be the spice that he needs to finish it off better. SKYLORD (7) not the worst.

Suggested Bet: OUR CRUNCH TIME (2) to win.

Race 8

LOU LAMOUR (1) has the draw and has options, he is a good on speed type but seems to struggle a bit more when faced with the idea of leading, may take cover here and try and zap them late. HI SUGA RUSH (4) could be the first one there and is a good front runner, could be cheeky. FULL SWING DENARIO (10) will be running on strongly; pace could help bring him into it depending on the first quarter. SWEET COCO (5) is an unlucky type but has plenty of high speed. CAPTAINS CREEK (9) is racing soundly, should run on from the back and is a novelty chance with STORMYSKYES (8) who is the topical tip today but will get a lovely run.

Suggested Bet: FULL SWING DENARIO (10) each way.

Race 9

BOUJEE BOY (6) was a gutsy win on return and should bounce of that nicely, can be driven forward and big chance to either lead or be outside them and controlling, hard to beat. ROMAN LEGION (5) has been racing with great zest when driven with a sit, may get enticed into rolling forward today and will be a good gauge to see how he performs if they go that route. GIRL OF BRIGHTNESS (7) is racing well but faces a tough draw, needs luck as she’ll likely head back. LUCKY COPY (10) will be running on; she can really mix her form. Novelty chances to TAXI IT IS (1), JOEY JAMES (2), ME FLASH (4), IDEAL INTEREST (8) and ARUM (11).

Suggested Bet: BOUJEE BOY (6) to win.
