Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 9, 2026June 9, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 DU SAVON (2) won’t have to charge out with a quick lead time to lead here and is now third up into the preparation, he has good ability and if he can get the lead in a controlled manner, he should settle better and I think he’ll be hard to run over. STRONG THE STRIKER (3) won well on return and has always shown ability, drawn to be close enough and dangerous. RAVENOUS (1) loves the soft draws and getting the run behind the leader, solid place claims again. CHEFS KISS (5) will be running on well, she has the high speed to push her into a top four spot. BROOME BEACH (4) trialled well but looks a novelty chance only in this with MY MACHANE (6), BETTER TOGETHER (7) and INSURGENCY (8) who all have tricky draws. Tips: 2 1 3 5 Suggested Bet: DU SAVON (2) each way. Race 2 MANHATTAN RUBY (12) couldn’t have been more impressive in her most recent trial win, she looks a class above her rivals, and her high speed should catapult her to a big victory here. CIGANDA (8) can charge out and look for the lead early and is racing well, looks a genuine top 2 contender in this. WRITTENINTHESKY (3) can potentially cross at the start and be in the novelties with SUPREMEDREAM (11) who will punch through from the second line. Top 4 chances to THREE FLAMES (1), LADY OF LEITH (2) and WESMEDAD (5) who was better last run. Tips: 12 8 3 11 Suggested Bet: CIGANDA (8) to place. Race 3 ALFA JESS (3) is second up and has the draw advantage to push her way to the top, she should be ready to run a good race and has been proven as a front runner. AZIONE (4) had the race run to suit before winning easy in his maiden success, looks the testing material but steps up in grade. AMARETTO ANGEL (1) comes in fresh and has the speed to lead but weakened on more than one occasion last time in when used early and isn’t as well suited to the middle distance, can be placed with a soft run. MAD PUNTA (7) is a novelty chance, still getting a gauge on him with DANGER (8), CANELO (9) and GLOBAL HERITAGE (11) all novelty chances. Tips: 3 4 9 7 Suggested Bet: ALFA JESS (3) to win. Race 4 Open race. BY GEE BY JINGO (11) is a horse I’ve been following for a while and is ready to win but does require a bit of luck, could be some speed early that will bring him right into it. BALINGUP BOY (6) hit the line well after a freshen up and should come on from that and looks a decent chance in this. SPORTING GRACE (3) has the speed to lead but do prefer her at shorter, can get a bit fizzy which could keep the tempo solid. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (1) is a hard horse to catch, she begins quick on some occasions and then moves like a glacier out the gate on other occasions, from the draw she will be handy enough and can feature as she is racing well enough. BASINGHALL (7) is capable but awkward draw for his map, he’ll have to make some ground out wider. SIR ALEC WHITBY (12) rises in grade but looks to be able to handle it, will be running on. VYBRANT (2) won’t be far away but also lacks early speed. VISITING HOURS (4), MAJOR MANHATTAN (9) and SONIC CHIP (10) all capable of running in the money in a very difficult race. Tips: 11 6 12 1 Suggested Bet: BY GEE BY JINGO (11) each way Race 5 QUEEN OF ALL (1) was beaten by a better horse last Tuesday and now comes up with the prized draw to boot out and lead and be very hard to run down, looks a more suitable grade but she is a one paced type of horse. LORD PUBLISHER (6) would most likely win the race if he could lead but that looks unlikely on paper, still has been racing well and this grade should suit to running a good race. APOLOGIZE (10) has the soft draw and is a good chance with STRIKE MASTER (11) who will be running home well. ROLLINDOWNTHERIVER (8) always a novelty chance and had no luck last time out and LEEROY ROX (12) will be running home under the urgings of the “Windmill Man” Tips: 1 10 6 11 Suggested Bet: APOLOGIZE (10) to place. Race 6 KOOJAN (7) can try and keep the advantage on HUNGER STRIKE (8) here but IM SPIDERMAN (5) could also have a say in the early lead so the early speed will be interesting, I think HUNGER STRIKE (8) has strings to her bow and should run a big race in this as that versatility can come into play. KOOJAN (7) looks the one to beat if he leads but if he doesn’t things get harder and IM SPIDERMAN (5) is a good on speed pacer and loves to lead, could give some cheek. LADY CAMEL (4) rises in grade but won well on Saturday night at Northam. IDEAL MUSCLE (9) can improve second up and will be running home with SHES A TINY DANCER (10) and SOUND WAVE (6). Tips: 8 7 5 9 Suggested Bet: HUNGER STRIKE (8) to win. Race 7 MY LITTLE BIG MAN (3) is a horse who likes to lead and think he can get there tonight, might meet some resistance with SWITCH BLADE (4) pushing forward and CHARIVARI (8) capable and likes to be on speed but although his form reads sound, he seems a step or two below his better form. SNAKEY BAY (1) has the nice draw to be handy to them and can feature in the money. LEAVEAMESSAGE (9) will be running on, but this is a far more challenging map than the one he had last time out. SIANGDI (2) and GOGGINS (11) novelty chances. Tips: 3 4 8 1 Suggested Bet: MY LITTLE BIG MAN (3) each way. Race 8 Hope we are on the right side of the ledger by the last! Difficult race. SUNPATRA (3) racing well enough to feature but had every conceivable chance last time out and didn’t come on, could lead this though. MAJOR DALTON (5) has been rather luckless and think he could feature at odds. THUNDER WARRIOR (7) has shown promise but is only little and needs a cuddle up for most of the race. STAR OF ORION (8) can improve but still getting a gauge on the maiden. FIREPLAY (9) was knocked out of it on return, he will run on well but needs luck. AGENT ANDY (11) has won in a similar grade and could get a reasonable run, will look threatening. GALVINSTON JOHN (12) suited at this grade but races better on speed. Tips: 5 11 3 8 Suggested Bet: MAJOR DALTON (5) each way. Market Market
