Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 19, 2026January 19, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 YOUR KIDDING (5) was a bold winner last time out and has been stepping well in recent stand races, could work his way around be handy to them and be very hard to beat in this. COL DU GRANON (2) was decent first up and then poor second up, this will be the telling run but has the advantage to play a significant role. KYVALLEY CLICHY (4) has been racing soundly and shouldn’t be too far away. GRAND MAJESTIC BELLS (9) trotted and was able to break through last time out, her standing start record is diabolical, but she has the ability if you are a risk taker. THE HONOURS (3) was much better last run and is improving, keep safe. BEE BEE BEROC (6) can fly away and set a decent tempo if he is ready to go. TILTHESUNSETS (1) not at his best. Tips: 5 4 2 3 Suggested Bet: YOUR KIDDING (5) to win. Race 2 SWEET WISH (1) was very impressive in a recent trial victory running home in low 27 for the last section, looks very hard to beat on debut from the draw. BUTTER ME UP (7) bumps into a nice type and from a tough draw, is racing consistently and he is versatile, should be right in the money. WESTBURN ROCKSTAR (4) has shown some promise in trials and some quirks, keep him safe. TSUNAMI WAVE (2) is a novelty chance; form has been sound since returning. WHERES MY HALO (6) is improving but it’s a challenging draw. Tips: 1 7 4 2 Suggested Bet: SWEET WISH/BUTTER ME UP to Exacta. Race 3 MAJOR MOVES (7) looks a progressive type who should have benefitted from a solid return run, has depth and will be hard to beat. SHERICKA (4) has come back well and is knocking on the door, likely heads forward as best she can and be in the thick of it. CRYSOSTOM (3) is hard to get a read on, didn’t mind the first up run but wasn’t flattered by the second up run, do think this is a touch easier but looks a bit one paced, wouldn’t surprise to see this horse feature. TIPSYBYTHESEASIDE (1) has the nice draw and pace early, distance will suit in terms of being a novelty chance. ARMA MUSHU (5) is improving and could feature in the novelties. CROWN GENERAL (6) capable of better. Tips: 7 4 3 5 Suggested Bet: MAJOR MOVES (7) to win. Race 4 BLING IT UP (4) trialled up well taking ground off Wonderful To Fly who placed third on Friday night in a good race at Gloucester Park, form line has carried on and think this bloke will run a big race, likely looks for the top. WALL STREET GIRL (7) was a good effort last time out and has strings to her bow, can be put into it and stick on well. JASPERVELLABEACH (6) will be charging out, he may have lost a step or two from his best off the arm, but he is coming off a metro win when leading last time out. BLAMEITONTHENIGHT (8) will be hoping to be no further back than three the pegs and is third up from a decent break, expect him to flash if the gaps come at the right time. Novelty chances to HEARTOFAHLIA (1), SUNDANCER RAINBOW (2) and SKIPPIN CLASS (5). Tips: 4 7 8 6 Suggested Bet: BLING IT UP (4) to win. Race 5 TAXI IT IS (6) did the work in a solidly run contest last time out and looks set to push forward and do the work and be hard to beat, she is now third up into the preparation and can do the work in win if required. LILLIE QUEEN (1) is second up after racing way outside of her grade last time out, expecting her to give plenty of cheek in this and looks the leader. BETTOR BEACH GIRL (4) was decent on debut and likely pushes forward and gets a good run. EASTON QUALITY (10) was solid last time out when leading, expecting her to be running on and looks a top four chance with CINDYS SECRET (5) who faces a tricky draw. Tips: 6 1 4 10 Suggested Bet: TAXI IT IS (6) to win. Race 6 NORTHVIEW DANCE (11) is a good beginner and is racing in fine form ticks a lot of boxes but 40m at the short course stand is never an easy task, think he can win but wouldn’t want to be diving in too short in pricing. BARBADOS (1) is a funny horse to follow; he could improve here and give them something to catch with a decent start. SOMETHING CERTAIN (3) has ability but profiles as a horse who may need some practice at the start type. IM DRINKINDOUBLES (2) is a place chance at value, normally steps safely. VINITA ROSE (5) was a good effort after a sustained run last time out, expecting her to be prominent. LUKES MISTAKE (8) finds this more challenging from the handicap and a capacity field. MY LITTLE BIG MAN (9) is speedy and should be kept safe on return. BEAT THE BANK (10) is capable but 20m and may be just a touch below his best currently. Tips: 11 1 5 8 Suggested Bet: BARBADOS (1) each way. Race 7 COMO EL VIENTO (7) demolished his rivals last time out and has really improved noticeably in recent runs, he has been driven like the best horse and responded well, looks to go on his winning way in this. TUMBLIN DICE (4) is racing well, could use his early speed and potentially bounce on the bunny early and should run into the money, ready to run a big race. WHOS THE DAD (11) is a massive drop in grade, he has been racing some very good horses and expecting him to improve sharply in this. LUKE ATTACK (2) is a novelty chance, hit the line well last run but he has quirks with GOLD HORSESHOE (10) who is capable and hit the line well last time out. TERROR IN TEXAS (12) is a talented horse but first up from a challenging draw, may need the run. Tips: 7 11 4 10 Suggested Bet: WHOS THE DAD (11) to place/each way. Race 8 ROCKIN LE MONDE (4) really got closer than he should’ve done last time out, he came from well back and worked into the clear and was beaten a short half head over the lightning lap, now with a front row draw I am expecting him to be driven like the best horse in the race and be able to respond positively. RONALD SCOTT (6) was solid last time out and looks the testing material in the race, but he can mix his form, last run was very encouraging. STAPLETON (1) and BEALAWYER (2) are place to novelty chances from their draw if they don’t overdo it early. LORD PUBLISHER (8) will be taking ground off them late. THEYCALL ME STOOGE (10) and BLOCKJORG (11) will need the tempo on. Tips: 4 6 8 1 Suggested Bet: ROCKIN LE MONDE (4) to win. Market Market
