Strong win second up he stepped to 2400m here last start & dashed away in the straight looking the winner before being nailed late. No weight, back in trip & from the pole gate he ticks all the boxes & really should be winning this. GALIFIANAKIS next best, consistent of late however he’s had his chances. Numbers: 8 – 2 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet: MIGHTY WILLIE TO WIN RACE 2 Second sighting of our new season 2yo’s with all being unraced, market will be our best guide. On what we’ve seen at the trials ZELEZNY looks tough to beat, only scored over 650m at Deagon however did it in good fashion running solid time with gas in the tank at the end. INNERVISIONS comes out of the Volatile trial in Sydney, that should be a good form line, VOLATILE goes around in Race 3 at Randwick this afternoon. TERRITORY ASH in the mix, trialled nicely & well in the market. Numbers: 4 – 12 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet: Follow the market RACE 3 Good speed here should they all go around however Action King & Borelli have also accepted at the Sunshine Coast over the weekend & they are a fair part of it. Hopefully they all run here as SHOW ME MERCY & INSTAGOOD should both get back & run on. They come out of the same last start race both finding the line strongly & suited by the step up in trip. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet: Box up top 4 selections in exotics RACE 4 Going with the first up maiden winner MISSION OF LOVE who has to step it up a few levels however she looks very capable of doing just that. Her first up run she showed a turn of foot to run right over the top of the leaders then clear out over 1200m, I can’t see the 1500m being a problem. REGAL POM is racing well & should get every chance off the good gate. Look for sharp improvement from MAURICE’S MEDAD who was an even effort fresh, was solid in the market & will improve fitness wise. Numbers: 16 – 1 – 7 – 10 Suggested Bet: MISSION OF LOVE TO WIN RACE 5 Absolute raffle! NAVAL TRADER is the obvious & I’ll lean his way however there’s plenty here who mix their form & are capable of bobbing up unexpectedly. VETTA VELOCITA draws well & is racing consistently, stable are having a great run. STARRY EYES gets Jimmy Orman & the inside gate, should run well once again. Numbers: 17 – 12 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet: NAVAL TRADER TO WIN (small bet) RACE 6 Tony Gollan has a strong hand in the race with the two well fancied runners KOKONOTSU & TENZING who are both racing in good form. I’ll lean to the former who is going for three straight wins with the last couple being here over this 1800m range. He’s led throughout on both occasions & comes up with a perfect draw here to do the same or take a trail should there be pressure early. TENZING is untried beyond 1600m, he was terrific last start racing wide throughout, that gives me confidence he’ll see it out. BEDFORD SQUARE at odds with luck can feature. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 13 – 5 Suggested Bet: Backing top two selections to win RACE 7 Looking for a good tempo here with the top tip IMMORAL a backmarker. He’s racing in peak form this prep winning three straight before unlucky the latest being held up in the straight before running on late, he definitely should have finished closer than the official 1.8L margin. BEAST MODE has always had a wrap on him, good first up this is tougher though & the horse he beat failed at the Sunshine Coast last Sunday. Keep GLORIOUS RUBY safe, the trial win on Tuesday was a good one. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet: IMMORAL TO WIN RACE 8 INDISPENSABLE looks well over the odds in my opinion here. His last start was a good one albeit in restricted grade, he chased a hot tempo & stuck on well beating all bar the winner who had a soft run. Tumbles in the weights & will get the right run from gate one. TIDAL CREEK has surprised me this prep, Stuart Kendrick has done a great job with the horse, he’s right in the mix once again. No knock SHIBLI who got the job done second up & can improve further on that. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet: INDISPENSABLE EACH-WAY RACE 9 Looking forward to this last race with EKATERINA resuming, just loved what she did up here in the winter & I understand this will kick off a southern campaign in Melbourne. Having said all of that I’m with ZARASTRO who is absolutely flying & will have a decent start on EKATERINA, last two wins have been strong sectionally at the beginning & the end. Confident they are a cut above the rest. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 12 – 15 Suggested Bet: BACKING ZARASTRO TO WIN/SAVER EKATERINA Market Market
