She is drawn inside her main rival and appeals as the one to beat. BOOM TIME (6) has impressed in winning his last two starts and is the obvious danger. BETTOR FINISH (1) has been placed in four of his past five starts and must be considered from the pole. HENWOOD BAY (2) was a strong winner from Diego from the same draw four starts back and will make his presence felt. Tips: 5 6 1 2 Suggested Bet: HEAVENS SHOWGIRL (5) to win. Race 2 RUN FOR MERCY (1) hasn’t been at her best this time in but she also hasn’t had much luck and is capable of being a big improver from the pole tonight. SHEEZ OUR HOPE (2) has only missed a place once in her seven starts and will be a major player here after a recent Byford trial win. NIKASA (9) probably has the best form in the race but has a wide draw to overcome. SAGANO (3) galloped out and was beaten as a $1.05 favourite at her last start but must be respected on her all-the-way victory at her previous start. Tips: 1 2 9 3 Suggested Bet: RUN FOR MERCY (1) to win. Race 3 SHANWAY (1) led throughout from this draw two starts back and is clearly the one to beat on that effort. JIMMY MACK (4) was unlucky at his first run back from a spell and should strip fitter and make his presence felt tonight. THEREUGO (10) started from this draw when he trailed SHANWAY (1) and was placed behind that pacer two starts back and a similar scenario looks likely. MEDIEVAL MAN (3) has been flying in standing start events but switches to the mobile tonight. Tips: 1 4 10 3 Suggested Bet: SHANWAY (1) to win. Race 4 JACK FARTHING (1) was a dominant 1.55.9 winner from this draw two starts back before disappointing after facing the breeze at his last start. He is perfectly drawn over the sprint trip and is the one to beat. BALCATHERINE (4) is the state’s best mare and measured up to this company last time in so must be considered. ELOQUENT MACH (2) disappointed last time in but battled bad barriers and should be thereabouts from this draw first-up. PERFECT MAJOR (5) had no luck at his last start and is drawn awkwardly here but is too good to overlook. Tips: 1 4 2 5 Suggested Bet: JACK FARTHING (1) to win. Race 5 ALTA BLUES (11) has won six of his 12 career starts and has displayed plenty of ability. He resumes here without a trial but is a classy customer. ALTA INTRIGUE (4) was a 1.56.4 all- the-way winner at his first run back from a break and should strip fitter tonight. PARMESAN (1) disappointed as a short-priced favourite first-up but has won 14 of his 26 career starts and must be respected. PLUTONIUM (3) flashed home when narrowly beaten by ALTA INTRIGUE (4) and can win the right run. Tips: 11 4 1 3 Suggested Bet: ALTA BLUES (11) to win. Race 6 MIRRAGON (2) has won three out of his last five starts and should lead and give a great sight over the sprint trip. LAWRENCE (3) is racing consistently and is drawn to be prominent throughout from his nice draw. SIR GALAHAD (4) is first-up without a trial but has plenty of ability and can win with the right run. CULPEKA (5) won six on end to finish his last campaign and must be considered despite disappointing at his first run back from a long break. Tips: 2 3 4 5 Suggested Bet: MIRRAGON (2) to win. Race 7 PRINCESS MILA (12) was in scintillating form before a spell and won her last four on end before going for a break. She resumes here off a 20m handicap over the short course stand but is still the one to beat. TOKYO JOE (6) wasn’t far away after facing the breeze last start and should be right in the finish with a better trip. CHAMPAGNE PRINCE (8) is a reliable trotter who was a narrow 2nd at his first run back from a spell and should be thereabouts. DARK SECRET (10) has been placed in 11 out of his last 14 starts and won’t be far away. Tips: 12 6 8 10 Suggested Bet: PRINCESS MILA (12) to win. Race 8 LORD ROSCO (3) couldn’t find the lead last week and wasn’t suited facing the breeze when finishing down the track. His winning chances will be dependent on crossing at the start but he looks a good chance to get there tonight. NOTA BENE DENARIO (1) has been placed in four of his five starts in WA and is the obvious danger. VESPA (5) is racing consistently and is suited by the small field. EXTREME PRINCE (2) should enjoy a nice run close to the speed and looks a good place chance. Tips: 3 1 5 2 Suggested Bet: LORD ROSCO (3) to win. Race 9 EUPHORIC MOMENT (1) ran a nice 2nd to Vespa two starts back and gets the advantage of the pole draw here. He loves the staying distance and will be extremely hard to beat if he can hold up at the start. BEE SEVENTEEN (2) has finished towards the rear in his two runs back from a spell but drops considerably in class and looks a major player. PIERRE WHITBY (4) hit the line strongly when 4th here last week and will settle closer to the leaders tonight. ROCKNROLL WHITBY (3) is racing consistently and won’t be far away tonight.
