Chris Nelson’s Eagle Farm Best Bets Posted on December 31, 2020December 31, 2020 | Posted by Chris Nelson RACE 2 No.4 Macewen Giving this one a sneaky chance on Saturday at near enough to double-figure odds in the early markets. He’s dropping back plenty in grade having faced Listed company both runs back from a break and whilst never a winning chance in either he was far from disgraced. Freshened up, trialled nicely since and with a liking for this track he looks overs to me. RACE 4 No.1 Ranch Hand Yes, he’s come up short in the first markets however as we see on many occasions the odds can drift by the time we get to the actual race (here’s hoping). Really think this one is a live Magic Millions contender off his trials and debut win when nice and strong to the line. Convinced he’ll be far too good for these and then go on and prove a big chance in the big one in a fortnight’s time. RACE 7 No.8 Palladas The Vo Rogue looks a two horse race between this one from the Gollan yard and Gotta Kiss from the O’Dea/Hoysted stable. Favouring the former who was so impressive winning here on this surface last start over the trip idling down over the latter stages whilst clocking slick time in the process. Confident the pair will run the quinella however I’m leaning this one’s way. Quaddie 50% 2, 3 8, 13 7, 11, 12, 17 2, 4, 6, 18 Market Market
