RACE 7 No. 2 Jungle Edge

There would have been no more happier man than trainer Mick Bell when he heard the rain falling in Sydney on Thursday night. His gutsy on-paced galloper is a complete mudlark and even though he’s not likely to get a Heavy track he’ll still lap up the Soft ground in tomorrow’s Missile Stakes. Freshened up he’ll give his rivals plenty to run down.

Up and coming galloper from the Kris Lees yard who can definitely measure up to Saturday grade tomorrow. Solid winning first up before given a slight break, may have needed that next run however last time out he blew the opposition away at Wyong scoring by over 3 lengths producing a real turn of foot in the straight. With further improvement to come he can bring that winning form to town.

RACE 9 No. 7 Denarius

Not the easiest horse to catch on his day however he does have a number of positive factors in his favour. He’ll strip fitter off the first up Doomben performance when only winding up late over the 1050m trip, the additional 150m is ideal at this stage of his campaign and note he did win second up last prep. The give in the ground also a plus as he has only missed a placing once at 6 attempts on Soft ground (which includes 2 wins) to date. Value chance.
