Greg’s Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on June 17, 2016June 20, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 MAMA BEAR narrowly went down when having her first look at this circuit last week. A replica effort sees her break through. JACINTA MIX makes her local debut. She has been well supported in both career starts. RHINO’S BUSTER and UNWANTED LASS look the other chances. They are also making their local debuts. Market will be a good guide to the chances of most of these. Numbers – 7 – 6 – 12 – 10 Suggested Bet – Mama Bear win RACE 2 CLOCKER was solid first-up at Northam where he bumped into a maiden containing a few handy types. This is much easier and he has drawn to get the pie run in transit. ORIENTAL CLASSIC looks very close to a break through win and he should derive plenty of benefit from last week’s effort where he jumped from 1100m to a mile. GALACTIC RULER raced a bit flat in the same event. He can improve sharply. Daniel Morton has a terrific strike rate in Kalgoorlie and expect BIG WRAPS to improve sharply and run a race. Numbers – 4 – 1 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – Clocker and Oriental Classic RACE 3 RIDE SALLY RIDE sat on the speed and was just nailed two back and then last week got off the speed, over raced badly and never got into the event. Expect a more positive ride and big improvement. TINKER TAILOR was a flashing lights effort last week. She has almost run out of chances though. NEW ATTIRE has always shown some ability in his career and gets his first look at the track. BROLO BOY improves being ridden colder. Numbers – 9 – 7 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – Ride Sally Ride each-way RACE 4 A BIT SKETCHY continues to get off the speed and make strong late ground suggesting the rise to 1400m will suit. YEAH YEAH YEAH was huge in defeat two back and then ran well again last week off a sluggish tempo. ARTIE’S BELLE is racing well and Lucy Warwick is on. MISS KITWE can improve. Numbers – 7 – 1 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – A Bit Sketchy each-way RACE 5 MASTER WINKS has been the star performer this Kalgoorlie season and if he reproduces anything like he has shown in his last two starts he makes a mess of his rivals again. PRAGER can lead and give some cheek. ASHANTI LASS and FAT AMY are consistent and are strong place hopes. Numbers – 2 – 1 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – Master Winks win RACE 6 M’LADY HALLOWELL was a strong winner last week in a similar race, if anything she will appreciate the rise to 1760m more than some of her rivals. TAHGEO JAY is racing well and does get a small weight swing in his favour from last week’s clash with M’Lady Hallowell, The other Fernie runner, HAUL IN looks the other winning chance. ZUBOYNE ran round out the first-four. Numbers – 4 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – M’Lady Hallowell each-way RACE 7 DELRAY BEACH should improve sharply on his first-up run. He’ll settle right on the speed and give a strong kick home. PROHURST EXPRESS missed the kicked in that race and worked home well. Lucy Warwick goes on. THUNDERLUV’N gets his first look at the circuit and is right down in the weights carrying just 52.5kg after the claim for Kate Witten. KRONFELD will be doing his best work late. Numbers – 2 – 7 – 11 – 3 Suggested Bet – Delray Beach each-way RACE 8 AMACHASIT makes the trip from Perth for the Daniel Morton yard. He was a first-up winner last preparation and was asked for nothing in a recent trial. MISS JUPITER resumes from a spell with the benefit of a 380m trial. She was a tough Esperance debut winner. COCO CASH is an interesting runner. She has always some ability and is blessed with a sharp turn of foot when on song. ESPRIT HERO resumes from a spell without a trial. He’s another runner who has shown ability in the Perth region. GRAND REWARD next best. Numbers – 3 – 5 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – Amachasit win QUADDIE RACE 5 – 2 RACE 6 – 1, 2, 4 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 11 RACE 8 – 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 Bet Now!
