Greg Hooper’s Northam Stakes Day Preview Posted on April 29, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 NO. 2 HODGE PODGE HODGE PODGE looks ideally placed to break his maiden tag in this opening event. He just missed two back and then last start ran very well in a ratings race. Back to maiden grade and Pike retains the mount he should win. RACE 3 NO. 11 ELLORA MAY ELLORA MAY worked hard first-up and was just touched off in town. If she gets any luck from her outside draw she should pack too many punches for this field. RACE 6 NO. 5 COSMIC JEUNEY COSMIS JEUNEY looks a standout bet on this card. She won her maiden in impressive fashion and she would have started a clear favourite last Saturday before having to be scratched after having a reaction to some treatment. The mile suits and Pike sticks. She should be too classy. RACE 7 NO. 1 MAGNIFISIO Just the six starters in this year’s $125,000 NORTHAM STAKES however it does contain some quality. MAGNIFIO is looking for her second victory in the race after tasting success two years back. The set weights nature of the race sees her thrown in at the weight scale and she takes plenty of beating. QUADDIE RACE 6 – 5 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 3 RACE 8 – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 RACE 9 – 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 Bet Now
