Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sandown Preview Posted on February 18, 2025February 18, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 HANAFUBUKI will be at peak fitness and gives the impression she’ll cope with 3000m. HIGHLAND BLAZE had some excuses last time after a dominant victory and can bounce back. GALILAEUS has been frustrating but gets blinkers off and started fav behind Highland Blaze last start. MAKE US PROUD beat Highland Blaze here last time so must have a case. Selections: 5,2,1,3 Suggested Bet: Hanafubuki to win Race 2 HOT TOO GO will be better suited over further, but he’s been trialling well to resume gelded at a suitable trip and brings some strong form lines. ACELUM ran well in a strong maiden on debut and will be better for that run. SWING YOUR MAGIC has jumped out in good style since having some excuses on debut. DHARAM SHALAA and GAME PLAN have claims. Selections: 6,3,9,5 Suggested Bet: Hot Too Go to win Race 3 SACRED ROCKS has been good at both runs to date and chased bravely behind a promising one last start. NOSTRINGSATTACHED broke his maiden in good style first up and maps for a good run. GIDDY UP WARRIOR showed promise in his first prep and has been jumping out well. DIVINE JUSTICE is in the game after chasing strongly behind Sacred Rocks two back, the breaking her maiden last start. MANHATTAN VIEW gets right down in the weights and can give a sight Selections: 4,3,2,6 Suggested Bet: Sacred Rocks each way Race 4 FONTAINE ROUGE had been consistent before her dominant breakthrough victory last time and should relish the step up to 1600m. GLENFINNAN has some upside and will strip fitter third up. AWESOME LINEUP is fit, consistent and maps for a soft run. ELECTRIC BELLE will be suited by what appears to be the likely solid tempo. Selections: 9,7,3,6 Suggested Bet: Fontaine Rouge each way Race 5 Competitive race. ENRIGHT is having a good prep and can make his own luck. STORMFRONT has jumped out in good fashion to resume after and encouraging first prep. MILBRAE and FAMOSO have also both been trialling/jumping out well. CAESAR CIPHER was well backed when grabbed late first up and will strip fitter. DOLLAR CHASER will also strip fitter and drops in grade following his good return. Selections: 3,2,4,6 Suggested Bet: Enright each way Race 6 EXUBERANCE has trialled/jumped out well to kick off her second prep and can camp off what should be a decent speed. SIRENA has race fitness on her side and map for a good run just behind that speed. SUMMER FLAME beat Sirena two starts back and was brave riding the speed in a stronger race at her last start. DIAMOND FIRETAIL will strip fitter second up and has trialled well between runs. Selections: 6,3,1,2 Suggested Bet: Exuberance each way Race 7 POP AWARD is building a handy record. She has the wide draw but has shown tactical versatility and Shinn sticking is a positive. BAY OF ZEA brings a strong first up record and has trialled well with Mr Brightside and Arabian Summer. ZLOTIES also brings a strong first up record and has been trialling. MEM’S CHOICE and PINK CHANDON have some claims. Selections: 6,7,5,9 Suggested Bet: Pop Award to win Race 8 HOLA AMIGOS will be close to peak fitness third up and races well here. TRUFFLE FINDER takes the next rise in grade from his win here but is open to some further improvement and can measure up. FIASCO TESS ran ok in a stronger race second up and looks well placed dropping in grade with Zahra on. NODACHI endured a tough run as fav last start and was ok under the circumstances. CHARISSE will be strong late. Selections: 3,7,9,11 Suggested Bet: Hola Amigos each way Market Market
