Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Sale Preview Posted on June 25, 2024June 25, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Plenty to learn but FLATTERED has strong race form and a race experience advantage on most others. She recorded some impressive late sectionals last start and will apprefiate the rise to 1100m. MISS COTOLETTA, CRIME OF PASSION and ENRIGHT would be my pick the first starters from the trials and jumpouts but most of them have shown something. Selections: 12,13,10,3 Suggested Bet: Flattered to win Race 2 Once again plenty to learn with so many debutants. DREAMWRITER has been beaten by some promising gallopers in her career to date and will make her own luck. CARAVANSERAI appears to have improved leading into his second prep based on his recent trials. PARTIOT STAR responded well when asked for an effort in a recent jumpout. GAMBINO and ETERNAL have shown enough to be respected on debut. Selections: 10,2,13,4 Suggested Bet: Happy to look and learn Race 3 AL DUCA ran well when kicking off his career at this trip at Geelong and should give another good sight. That race ties in FLANAGAN, who will also strip fitter second up. ONGATITI was well beaten in NZ on debut but there was some merit in his run and he’s jumped out in good style to make his debut for the Maher stable. NEWZOU and BOYS NIGHT OUT have claims. Selections: 1,7,5,13 Suggested Bet: Al Duca each way Race 4 BLUESTONE worked home strongly on debut and is sure to appreciate 2200m. SACREDARRO had some excuses as an odds-on favourite after knuckling at the start last time. He was luckless on debut, gets a couple of gear changes and should also appreciate this trip. SHOGUN EXPRESS is fit, consistent and ready to break his maiden in this distance range. Selections: 1,4,5,8 Suggested Bet: Bluestone each way Race 5 CHAMPAGNE DOCTOR has been jumping out well and looks to have enough speed to offset the wide draw, particularly from the chute start. CYCLONE COCO has jumped out ok between runs and gets blinkers. MET WITH LUCK returns from Hong Kong and has been given some solid hit outs in recent trials and jumpouts. VOLANDER resumes from a lengthy break following surgery and has also been given some solid jumpout work. Selections: 7,14,3,13 Suggested Bet: Champagne Doctor each way Race 6 FUN WITH FLAGS resumes for a new stable following surgery and has been jumping out in great style. MAGWAZI is another to be jumping out well to resume and she won on debut at 1000m. ACCENDING was forced to do some work in the run first up and will strip fitter. DEVILS DELIGHT was noted as not handling the heavy track when resuming as favourite for the new stable. FLYING ACE backs up quickly and is capable of significant improvement. PIASTRI is another to jump out well. Selections: 9,2,5,8 Suggested Bet: Numbers 9,2 & 5 for the quaddie Race 7 Competitive race. STARIANNE will be better over further but has been jumping out particularly well to resume. EXCEED THE DREAM has also been jumping out well and her first up form is respectable. WALK OF FAME is a previous first up win er and has also jumped out in good style. GRACIE’S RAIN has had excuses at her two runs this prep. STAR HONOUR, BABY ALEX, GALAXY FIELD and MISS WINSLET are among the other winning hopes. Selections: 2,10,7,15 Suggested Bet: Starianne each way Race 8 GRONKOWSKI seems to relish being kept on the fresh side and racing in this distance range. GENERAL FIREPOWER is racing in great form and looks the likely leader. NOBLE CONQUEROR improved nicely second up, he rises in grade but is open to further improvment. THINK WINNING back up quickly and had excuses last week. SAVILLE STREET is racing well and maps for a good run on speed. Selections: 6,1,7,8 Suggested Bet: Gronkowski each way Race 9 BRAVE MISS hit the line strongly last start. She can settle closer from the draw and will appreciate the slight rise in trip. AIMING is deep into her prep but continues to race well. She’s yet to win beyond 1600m but it’s rarely wise to doubt the stable in similar circumstances. NORTHERN BARRAGE might be looking for further but his only win to date came second up. RED ON RED is some query at this trip but is fit and racing well. UNFAIR DISMISSAL, CRUZ MISSILE and MAXXI BON are among the other chances. Selections: 11,6,7,8 Suggested Bet: Brave Miss each way Market Market
