Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Geelong Preview Posted on April 23, 2024April 23, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SIOUX SPIRIT has jumped out impressively and looks hard to beat on debut. OUR MOONEY MOONEY has also been jumping out well and appears ready to make her presence felt. THE CARILLO is fit, consistent an can make his own luck. SWITCHBLADE has jumped out quite well since a forgivable debut. Selections: 9,7,2,3 Suggested Bet: Sioux Spirit to win Race 2 BUZZ CITY chased strongly over 1000m on debut and the form from that race held up well at Bendigo last Sunday. YASENA and MY XANADU have both jumped out well and looks suited at 1200m on debut. IDHANA has jumped out ok to resume for the new stable. Selections: 3,9,8,5 Suggested Bet: Buzz City to win Race 3 RUAKAKA RAIDER strikes a suitable race to break through following two encouraging runs over shorter trips. FIRST APPEARANCE shapes as a danger, she did enough on debut behind her stablemate who subsequently ran well in a much stronger race at Mornington last Saturday. NAJLE showed improvement last start and will strip fitter. RELENTLESS RUBY has shown talent and should appreciate the rise in distance second up. Selections: 4,6,7,9 Suggested Bet: Ruakaka Raider to win Race 4 ETERNITY STAR did plenty wrong with blinkers on for his debut and has jumped out nicely without blinkers since that run. CATCH A BREAK had his chance first up but he’ll strip fitter, should appreciate the extra distance and maps for another good run. BO COUGAR was given a solid hit out in a recent jumpout to kick off her second prep and will likely take up a forward spot. MY SCHIELLER WOOD had excuses last start and has claims on his run two starts back. Selections: 5,1,10,3 Suggested Bet: Eternity Star each way Race 5 VERIFIER can hit a flat spot and cost himself but looks well placed dropping in grade and stepping up to 2218m. AMPHACTOR is racing well in this distance range and maps for a good run. RUNNING ON TIME also maps well, she’s on trial at this trip but it’s never wise to doubt the stable when they stretch horses out in distance. FUTURE MONARCH and LUPINE have claims. Selections: 1,7,6,3 Suggested Bet: Verifier to win Race 6 TRIPLE VISION worked home strongly at his first Australian start and seems well placed stepping up from 1200m to 1412m. ZOMBIE MISSILE is fit, racing well and will give the something to catch. METRICAL may be better suited coming back to this trip from his run at 1600m last time. ARQANA was confidently backed to break her maiden first up and has more upside than most of these. INVINCIBLE POWER and HYDROGEN POWER are in the mix. Selections: 5,9,4,11 Suggested Bet: Triple Vision each way Race 7 VIENNA VIXEN has jumped out well between runs and looks well placed with the claim dropping back in distance. ETINCELLE pulled up with cardiac arrhythmia when expected to win on debut and bounced back with a solid win last start. SNIPPETY LEGEND may be looking for further but worked home well at his first run fo the new stable and will strip fitter. GEORGIE GET MAD may also be better suited over more ground but has jumped out well over 800m between runs Selections: 10,12,11,1 Suggested Bet: Vienna Vixen each way Race 8 Tough finish. FREEDOM ESCAPE ran well behind a promising galloper first up and will be suited by the rise in trip. DELTA SKY finished her race off in good style first up and stays right down in the weights. SUPER SNITCH looked unlucky last start and his form ties in with KING HALSTON and EDDY STREET. EXTEME VIRTUE is racing well and will and her own luck. Selections: 1,12,2,11 Suggested Bet: Freedom Escape each way Market Market
