Warren Huntly’s Wednesday Caulfield Preview Posted on December 3, 2024December 3, 2024 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 Competitive maiden. THURMOND was well supported at his local debut, he ran accordingly and will strip fitter. NORDIC BELLE held her ground well on debut in the same race and gets B.Shinn. NOBLE STEED was beaten by a smart one on debut and will appreciate 1600m. BROADHURST has the wide draw to contend with but may have also been beaten by a smart one last start. EVERYTHINGISAUTUMN and SACRED FORT are in the game Selections: 5,10,3,12 Suggested Bet: Thurmond each way Race 2 LAKE VOSTOK found herself in front last time and that may have not been to her best advantage. FRIDAY AT FIVE looks the leader and will give a sight but may also provide a nice trail for Lake Vostok and others. EISHAA will ne strong late coming back from 2040m. KIND GESTURE didn’t have much go right last time Selections: 6,3,4,1 Suggested Bet: Lake Vostok to win Race 3 Not sure the inside draw is ideal for CHAKADO, but he comes through a strong race and will be hard to hold out if he gets clear running in the home straight. INEXORABLE ran as well as he could in a leader dominated race last start and can push forward from the draw. MAISY has jumped out well to kick off her second prep. WOMEN IN UNIFORM and OURANIA both won their maiden in decent fashion at their latest starts. Selections: 2,1,5,8 Suggested Bet: Quinella/Exacta 2 & 1 Race 4 SAMANGU looks promising and has jumped out well since her impressive first up victory. ROCKABILLY REBEL could be the danger, she’s a previous first up winner and has jumped out in good fashion to resume. THE DABBLE EFFECT will strip fitter for a solid return behind an promising galloper. SHE DARESTHE DEVIL and RUNAWAY STATEMENT will be running on late. Selections: 4,2,7,3 Suggested Bet: Samangu to win Race 5 SOCIAL CONSCIENCE chased well TARZI CALLING last time and that form should hold up here. Social Conscience gets D.Lane and Tarzi Calling gets blinkers back on. INTREPID EAGLE stuck on ok last start and gets a claim with a drop in grade. ROCKABOTTLE is building a handy record but would have likes to see him jump out a little better. Selections: 6,7,1,2 Suggested Bet: Social Conscience each way Race 6 HARPALEE is racing well and may be suited coming back to 1100m. Her stablemate, JUST FOR SHOW, has retuned in great from and is likely to make his own luck, despite coming back 200m in trip. LOAFER won an easier race in good style first up and can also make her own luck. BUTTERNUT PRINCESS and SHADAVAR bot won their maidens in good fashion at their latest runs and can measure up. Selections: 2,3,4,8 Suggested Bet: Harpalee each way Race 7 HAWKINS recorded some good late sectionals winning at his second start and shapes as the horse with the most upside. CYCLONE HARMONY is fit, in-form and goes well for Tianni Chapman. PLATINUM DESTROYER is also racing well, he appeared to have his chance last start gets a tongue tie and a claim. BLAZING REBEL has the wide draw but is an interesting runner having his first start for the Bedggood stable. Selections: 10,2,5,1 Suggested Bet: Hawkins each way Race 8 NAVY KING ran well first up in the Ararat Bowl, he’s a previous second up winner and has the versatility to take advantage of the inside draw. SMOKIN’ PRINCESS has been jumping out well and has been effective at both first up runs to date. THE JESTER’S SON worked home solidly first up, he looks suited from a low draw stepping up slightly in distance. DE BERGERAC didn’t have the clearest path in the home straight last start. ROADCONE will be at peak fitness and has claims should he secure a start. Selections: 4,5,12,9 Suggested Bet: Navy King each way Market Market
