Warren Huntly’s Saturday Caulfield Preview Posted on March 13, 2025March 13, 2025 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 REVELARE has been a revelation this prep and there’s no reason to doubt him stepping up to 2400m. MOSTLY CLOUDY will strip fitter for his first up run and is suited by the rise in trip. LE DON DE VIE will also strip fitter and has won a 1200m jumpout between runs. Doubt MYSTERY ISLAND was best suited leading last start and can improve. WALTHAM is another that will appreciate a rise in distance second up. BANKERS CHOICE may be the leader and can give a sight. Selections: 4,2,3,5 Suggested Bet: Revelare to win Race 2 BRAZEN LADY has jumped out well between runs and isn’t badly treated by the SWP weight scale. REGAL VOW is arguably the other class runner, she’s jumped out in good fashion and is yet to miss a place first up. MERRIGOLD is racing in great form and may get the right run stalking the speed. PARADISE CITY can make her own luck, she rises in grade but can give a sight. FLYING FIZZ has had excuses of late and has jumped out ok since her last run. Selections: 2,1,5,7 Suggested Bet: Brazen Lady to win Race 3 MISS ARIA chased well behind SAMANGU last start and that looks the right form. Miss Aria can settle just behind the speed and gets 4kg weight swing. LUNA CAT will be strong late as usual. LOVAZOU can have her issues at the barriers but has jumped out well and will also be strong late. ROLL ON HIGH and MRS CHRISSIE have some claims. Selections: 2,5,7,4 Suggested Bet: Miss Aria to win Race 4 DOCUMENTARY has got his career off to a great start, albeit as a late starter. He quickened nicely when he got clear last start and looks capable of measuring up. WALLENDA will strip fitter third up, he looks well placed dropping in grade and stepping up to 1200m. BARBARIC LAD can improve getting back around a bend. HEART OF GLASS has trialled well and generally fires first up. TATSUMAKI is an intriguing runner resuming from a long break, he’s been jumping out well but inclined to want to see him under race pressure. PURE ALPHA has jumped out well to resume with blinkers on. Selections: 11,8,13,14 Suggested Bet: Documentary each way Race 5 PERFECT PICTURE stuck on ok behind a potential start last time and gives he impression 1600m will be ok. ATHANATOS may have peaked on his run first up and draws to settle closer. BENAGIL had excuses in the same race has Perfect Picture and will appreciate the rise in distance. BIT OF SHOOSH won his maiden in impressive fashion on debut but obviously rises significantly in grade. ZORRO’S FLIGHT will strip fitter for his last run and can give a sight. Selections: 10,2,8,6 Suggested Bet: Perfect Picture each way Race 6 ZARDOZI will be approaching peak fitness third up, she’ll appreciate stepping up to 1800m and appeared to get around Caulfield ok in the Caulfield Cup. FUTURE HISTORY closed off ok in the same race as Zardozi and can settle closer with additional fitness and the rise in trip. PRIDE OF JENNI was below her best at her last couple but as the reigning Horse Of The Year is the obvious class runner. She’s jumped out in typically bold style but is yet to win first up and may be vulnerable late. BOIS D’ARGENT and QUE TEMPESTA have both been trialling/jumping out well. Selections: 6,2,5,1 Suggested Bet: Zardozi to win Race 7 SHE’S GOT PIZZAZZ closed off well over 1000m first up and looks well placed stepping up to 1200m and getting back around a bend. MADRINA comes through a good form race second up and gives the impression she will also be suited at 1200m. MATISSE did enough first up in the same race as Madrina and gets a few gear changes. WINNASEDGE is fit, racing well and made up for a luckless run two starts back last time. BAND OF BROTHERS was better last time and would be hard to beat on his best form. Selections: 3,8,9,4 Suggested Bet: She’s Got Pizzazz Same Race Multi: She’s Got Pizzazz (Top 2) + Madrina (Top 4) Race 8 KILLIANI impressed on debut, running good time for the day and looks hard to beat from the inside draw. MCGAW has been ket fresh since his impressive debut win and has jumped out well between runs. MISS CELINE had excuses travelling wide in the Blue Diamond and her previous form reads well. ROHESIA has jumped out well to resume. Selections: 13,5,9,10 Suggested Bet: Killiana to win Race 9 BOSSY NIC is most effective down the Flemington straight but she races well here will relish getting back to 1200m. HEDGED has a touch of class, he gets ear muffs on, with ear muffs pre-race coming off and has jumped out in good style between runs. NICOLINI VITO has a decent first up record as has jumped out well to resume with blinkers off. PRANCING SPIRIT will strip fitter for a solid return. Selections: 10,2,3,9 Suggested Bet: Bossy Nic each way Race 10 Typically competitive final of a series. DANE ON TOUR has been racing well through the series and maps for a good run. MIXXIT is the horse with the most upside but may have to do some early work from the wide draw. ELECTRIC BELLE and GLENFINNAN have intertwining form and both have claims. MISS ARTIE, CHARITIES and CALL HIM IGGY are among the other winning chances. Selections: 11,2,7,6 Suggested Bet: Dane On Tour each way Market Market
