Warren Huntly’s Friday Moonee Valley Preview Posted on October 20, 2022October 20, 2022 | Posted by Warren Huntly Race 1 SILENT SOVEREIGN just held her ground first up but looks well placed with the rise in distance against slightly easier company. HUNBOSHI ran well in the Pinker Pinker and may be able to settle a little closer form the draw. TOKORANGI might be looking for this trip now. LOOK SHARPISH backs up and looks suited by the rise in distance. That form ties in TAGOMAGO. Selections: 1,2,6,5 Suggested Bet: Silent Sovereign to win Race 2 Even race. REGARDSMAREE should be close to peak fitness third up and should secure a good run. WINNING PARTNER had no luck last start and is suited by the slight rise in trip. GRANDSLAM has jumped out well and is likely to roll forward and give a sight. LIGHTSABER pulled up with an excuse last start and gets blinkers first time. IMPERIAL LAD will be part of the speed and gets around this circuit well. Selections: 3,6,4,5 Suggested Bet: Regardsmaree each way Race 3 The speed should be ok and VULTAN, who gets blinkers back on, should secure a nice run on the back of it. DEMANDO will strip fitter and should appreciate the step to 1200m. LEGEND OF ZORRO comes through the same form line as Vultan and STYLISH ENUFF and all have claims. SAM’S IMAGE was good here two runs back. Selections: 7,6,2,1 Suggested Bet: VULTAN each way Race 4 YOWIE has jumped out well to resume and impressed winning on debut. FISSION has also been jumping out nicely to resume. Both should be suited by what should be a solid tempo. FIELD OF FLUTES takes a rise in grade but looks progressive and has been kept up to the mark with a jumpout between runs. SHALAMAN has a touch of class and might appreciate coming back in trip. Selections: 10,6,5,1 Suggested Bet: Yowie each way Race 5 NASTURTIUM looks suited to the 955m trip. TAUNTING will be part of the speed and looks well placed dropping in grade. NIGHT OF DELIGHT is flying for the new stable and will appreciate good speed up front. DIRECT got the right run to win first up, he has performed well here without winning. MOON AND BACK has been jumping out well should she secure a start. Selections: 4,3,13,2 Suggested Bet: Nasturium each way Race 6 WORTHILY was given a solid hit out winning a recent jumpout and is effective first up. SHIBLI didn’t have the best of luck first up and gets James McDonald on. LUCKY DECISION is race fit and may be suited coming back slightly in trip. NIGHT PASSAGE also had no luck in the same race as Shibli and should appreciate stepping up to 1600m. Selections: 11,4,1,6 Suggested Bet: Worthily each way Race 7 Great race with plenty of chances. ELEVEN ELEVEN has trialled well to resume and galloped impressively at The Valley during Tuesday morning’s Breakfast with the Best. His first up record doesn’t read well but he hasn’t always had the best of luck resuming. PAULELE showed great fight and race sense to score last start after a forgivable run in the Moir. COOLANGATTA and BELLA NIPOTINA beat Paulele home in the Moir and have undeniable claims. SEPTEMBER RUN, ROCH ‘N’ HORSE and ROTHFIRE have claims in a deep race. Selections: 2,5,14,10 Suggested Bet: Eleven Eleven each way Race 8 CLAIDHEAMH MOR has returned in great form, he can make his own luck and looks suited by the rise in trip. HEAD OF STATE was no match for the winner last start but looked to get around the track well, as did SHULTZY, finishing ahead of him. AGNELLI will strip fitter third up and races well here. COOLTH drops in grade and is always some chance in these races. CERBERUS may have found it too wet last start and is capable of bouncing back. Selections: 8,1,2,5 Suggested Bet: Claidheamh Mor each way Market Market
