Trent’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on January 6, 2017 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1: RETRAVISION AS LOCAL AS YOU NIGHTS OF THUNDER QUALIFYING HEAT 1 FRANCO RAYNER (2) was a rung below the state’s top 4YO’s during the Classics but was an impressive all the way winner in quick time last week. He looks suited at the distance and has the barrier advantage over his main rival. NATHANS COURAGE (4) has gone to a new level recently with a good 2nd in the Golden Nugget followed by a 20m win at Albany and looks the obvious danger. TWOANDAHALF TIGERS (5) is always thereabouts and shouldn’t be far away. MIGHTY FLYING THOMAS (1) looks a place chance from the pole. Tips: 2 4 5 1 Suggested Bet: FRANCO RAYNER (2) to win. Race 2: RETRAVISION 60 DAY PRICE PROMISE NIGHTS OF THUNDER QUALIFYING HEAT 2 CUT FOR AN ACE (2) is overdue to break through for his first WA win and gets his chance from this draw tonight. He was a strong 2nd to Holy Grail after sitting outside that pacer last week and looks the one to beat here, particularly if he can find the front. JAXON FELLA (1) has been racing consistently and has options from the draw. BRONZE SEEKER (3) ran on well to finish 4th last week in a similar field but will settle closer tonight. FERNLEIGH REBEL (5) loves the sprint trip and could attempt to cross early. Tips: 2 1 3 5 Suggested Bet: CUT FOR AN ACE (2) to win. Race 3: RETRAVISION YOUR AIR CONDITIONING SPECIALIST NIGHTS OF THUNDER QUALIFYING HEAT 3 CHAR DO NEIGH (1) won five of his eight starts last campaign and resumed with a solid 2nd after working hard to find the front. He is better drawn here and is clearly the one to beat. AMERICAN BOY (3) has won 14 of his 21 race starts and resumes here without a trial but must be respected. BETTORS GEM (2) was placed after enjoying a soft run on the pegs last week and that scenario is likely again. WE TELLTHETRUTH (4) was a comfortable all the way winner last week but this is harder. Tips: 1 3 2 4 Suggested Bet: CHAR DO NEIGH (1) to win. Race 4: RETRAVISION CANNINGTON SUPERSTORE WESTBRED MS PACE BETTOR REWARD (12) is lightly raced but has plenty of ability, winning 9 of his 15 race starts. He resumed from a spell with an easy win and is ready for this harder assignment. NEW WORLD ORDER (6) was enormous in winning two starts back after copping severe interference then was a bit disappointing when beaten by SIR SLICK (3) last week but must be respected. MON LAMOUR (1) and SHIRLZ SENSATION (7) filled the placings behind Franco Rayner last week and should be thereabouts again. Tips: 12 6 3 1 Suggested Bet: BETTOR REWARD (12) to win. Race 5: RETRAVISION O`CONNOR SUPERSTORE IM THEMIGHTYQUINN QUALIFYING HEAT 1 THREE BEARS (2) resumed from a short break with two efforts that were below his best but bounced back with a solid win and is the best drawn of the main chances. MISTER DAYTONA (4) was an impressive winner of the New Years Cup at Bunbury and has won 12 of his 16 starts. LIVURA (3) is racing extremely consistently and should get a nice run from this barrier. BORNTOBEANARTIST (1) doesn’t have the class of those three horses but is drawn to be close up. Tips: 2 4 3 1 Suggested Bet: THREE BEARS (2) to win. Race 6: CONGRATULATIONS CHRIS LEWIS – 5000 CAREER WINS MS PACE CYAMACH (1) has a very good record of leading and winning from this draw, including an all the way win of the Inters Consolation, and should give a great sight. RUB OF THE GREEN (2) is the new kid on the block who has won his last four in easier company and is drawn to get a perfect run. WAYLADE (12) has been a bit up and down this time in but could play a part if they go hard. EXCITEUSINTHECITY (4) impressed at his first run for a new stable and will be keen to impress to get into the Pacing Cup. Tips: 1 2 12 4 Suggested Bet: CYAMACH (1) to win. SuperPick – Race 6 no. 1 CYAMACH – Money Back – Run 2nd Race 7: RETRAVISION FREMANTLE PACING CUP MS PACE FRANCO NELSON (3) was an unlucky 5th in the Inters final and then couldn’t get into the race last week. He is the best drawn of the main chances and will be hard to catch if he can find the front. CHICAGO BULL (4) impressed at his first run against the big boys with a close 2nd to BEAUDIENE BOAZ (5) and Jnr jumps into the sulky. BEAUDIENE BOAZ (5) seems to be losing some of his gloss but did run 3rd in the Inters and won last week in good time. THE BUCKET LIST (10) will enjoy a soft run on the pegs and will be dangerous late. Tips: 3 4 5 10 Suggested Bet: FRANCO NELSON (3) to win. Race 8: RETRAVISION JOONDALUP SUPERSTORE MARES MS PACE SHEEZ EDGY (11) has been consistent before a disappointing effort last start but she was checked on that occasion. She should get a nice run and should represent each way value in a difficult race. FAY DARLING (6) finished towards the rear in a stronger field last week and will appreciate the drop in class. CHEVRONS CHAMPION (5) is getting back towards her best and has won two of her last three. OCTOBER BROWN (2) has also won two of her last three and the rise in class is offset by a nice draw. Tips: 11 6 5 2 Suggested Bet: SHEEZ EDGY (11) each way. Race 9: RETRAVISION ROCKINGHAM SUPERSTORE MS PACE SOHO WALL STREET (4) lost form early last month but has bounced back with two solid placings. He is drawn inside his main rival and should give a great sight. THE TRILOGY (8) has been costly for followers at his last three starts as he has breezed and been beaten at short quotes but he has the ability. BETTOR AS (3) should settle handy and looks a place chance, along with OUR JACCKA MARA (5) who is racing consistently. Tips: 4 8 3 5 Suggested Bet: SOHO WALL STREET (4) to win. Race 10: RETRAVISION BUNBURY SUPERSTORE MS PACE ITS NEVERTHELESS (1) has only been placed once this campaign but has the pole and that could be enough in this ordinary field. His last effort at Bunbury was solid and he has the services of A C Lewis. UPCLASS GIRL (6) ran 2nd in a similar strength field last week and must be a chance. WHITE EAGLE (5) has some strength about him and that sets him apart from most of this field. LUKEY (8) finished a long way back last start but can improve. Tips: 1 6 5 8 Suggested Bet: ITS NEVERTHELESS (1) to win. [button class=”bet-now” style=”btn-default btn-lg” type=”link” target=”false” title=”Bet Now!” link=”/racing/2017-01-06/pt” linkrel=””]
