Race 1

MY CARBON COPY (1) has won four of his last five starts and looks extremely hard to beat from the pole. He won in 1.56.1 here two starts back before recording an easy all-the-way at Albany and should lead and be hard to catch again. BACK IN TWENTY (10) has been impressive in winning his last two starts and will charging at the frontrunner if he sees daylight. GRINNY VINNIE (9) is flying but has a very tough draw to overcome. ITSNOTOVA (2) ran on well last start and can finish in the money from this draw.

Race 2

ICEENOTHINK (2) has been racing in stronger company and ran on well when 2nd to James Butt at his last start. He is perfectly drawn tonight and should give a great sight. THE DALI EXPRESS (6) charged home to finish 2nd to Son Of A Tiger at his last start and looks a major player here. RUNAWAY THREE (1) led throughout here four starts back and can lead and give them something to catch tonight. MCARDLES GEM (5) has been placed at his last two starts and will be running on if there is a strong early tempo.

Race 3

MIGHTY SANTANA (5) was a 1.54.2 winner three starts back and has performed well at his past two starts after breezing. This looks an easier assignment and he appeals as the one to beat. BATAVIA ON FIRE (1) has finished just behind the placegetters at his last three starts but draws the pole here and should give a great sight. THEO AVIATOR (7) didn’t see daylight until too late last week and is likely to be driven more aggressively tonight. YOU GOTTA HAVE FAITH (2) was a 1.55.9 winner recently and can play a part from this draw.

Suggested Bet: MIGHTY SANTANA (5) to win.

Race 4

BRAEVIEW BONDI (12) has won two of his last three starts and faced the breeze when 2nd in 1.54.2 in the other. He isn’t as well drawn here but should still give a great sight. HOIHO (1) has hit peak form with victories at his last two starts and looks a major player from the pole. DOMINATE THE DOJO (2) only had a few starts last time in but would be a winning chance here if close to his best for his return. CAPTAIN MANNERING (10) should enjoy a nice run and must be considered on his 1.54.9 win from this draw three starts back.

Suggested Bet: BRAEVIEW BONDI (12) to win.

Race 5

HANDSANDWHEELS (2) followed a slashing 4th in the WA Cup with consecutive victories at this track. He looks the leader tonight and will take plenty of catching. IDEAL LINER (3) bounced back to his best with a dominant victory from the breeze and should settle handy from this draw. BILL HALEY (10) will be running on strongly but the tempo of this event may be against him. ROCK ME OVER (1) doesn’t have the class of most of his rivals but can be placed from this draw.

Suggested Bet: HANDSANDWHEELS (2) to win.

Race 6

FRANCO ECUADOR (4) has created a big impression with his two victories, the latest in 1.54.0 at Pinjarra. He warmed up for this with a dominant Byford trial win and is clearly the one to beat tonight. DOUBLE EXPRESSO (10) has won nine of her 12 career starts and will be charging home if she has any luck from this draw. GARDYS LEGACY (6) won five on end before disappointing last start but can be driven with a sit here and can improve. COPY N PACE (1) goes up in class on his last start win but has the pole and won’t be far away.

Tips: 4 10 6 1

Suggested Bet: FRANCO ECUADOR (4) to win.

Race 7

MISTER BUSHIDO (1) has battled wide draws in his three starts back from a spell but has performed strongly. He gets the pole tonight and should lead and prove hard to catch. JIMMY MACK (7) had no chance in a short course stand last week but looks better suited here. MAXIMUM DEMAND (10) is drawn to get a soft run on the pegs and can be placed. MARQUISARD (11) did too much work last start but can be thereabouts from his nice trailing draw.

Tips: 1 7 10 11

Suggested Bet: MISTER BUSHIDO (1) to win.

Race 8

MANDY JOAN (2) was a strong 2nd to AMERICAN DELIGHT (5) here last week and goes up in class but will be hard to beat if she can find the front in the early stages. AMERICAN DELIGHT (5) has won five of her last seven starts including an impressive victory here last week and is ready for the rise in class. FAKE NEWS (8) sprinted brilliantly to win here last week but will find it harder from this draw. MISS SANGRIAL (7) has been racing well in stands but is a proven performer in mobiles in this company.

Tips: 2 5 8 7

Suggested Bet: MANDY JOAN (2) to win.

Race 9

MR SUNDON (8) has won five of his seven starts since crossing the Nullabor including his last two in effortless fashion. He has a 10m handicap advantage over his main rival and is clearly the one to beat. ROCK TONIGHT (9) has beaten MR SUNDON (8) twice and is the obvious danger. SPUD (7) has been placed at his past two starts behind the favourite and can be in the money again. TENNO SHO (5) defeated an easier field last start and can be placed with the right run.

Tips: 8 9 7 5

Suggested Bet: MR SUNDON (8) to win.

Race 10

BRACKEN SKY (3) has been racing consistently in better company and gets his chance tonight. He didn’t handle being up on the hot pace last start but should find this more to his liking. JILLIBY JAKE (6) has been racing fairly and is one of the few horses in this field who can do some work and still be there at the finish. RAGING ROMEO (2) is only racing fairly but must be considered from this draw. AFTER LUNCH (4) is an enigmatic type but a win here would not surprise.
