Scott Embry’s Friday Narrogin Preview Posted on February 20, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ANGELIQUE’S FAME has been trialing very well. Chris Parnham heading to Narrogin on Friday is normally a sign that there is at least a winner in the book and this looks a nice start. SUPERLOVE ran a ripper on debut. If she can sit just a pair closer in the run she’s a big chance. LA CHIAVE draws awkwardly but looks to have speed. DARK CITY an improver. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – ANGELIQUE’S FAME WIN Race 2 ARION LASS gets her chance at start number 7. Not disgraced last start when run down by Talladega who looks like a Saturday horse in the making. Maiden handicap conditions means she’s hard to run down. ZIERA returns to the races. Nothing special about her first preparation outings but competed on all occasions. MY BLUEBOY has not run a bad race but cops it hard with 61kg. LADY NOBEL has trialed alright a few times. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – ARION LASS WIN Race 3 CASA ROSADA is the best horse in the race by a considerable margin. He has a fair bit to learn and can wobble badly in his races. Big red flag for a Narrogin assignment but from the gate he can march wide and wind up. GOLDEN TRIGGER always promised to win a maiden and went well fresh. SILVER OAK went far better last start. MISS QUOTED next best. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 10 – 5 Suggested Bet – CASA ROSADA WIN Race 4 STIRLING ESTATE is a slight query at 1190 having done the majority of his racing over a long career at 1000m but this is impeccable placement. Draws a perfect alley, races on speed and gets in with only 55.5kg for a horse who has been competitive for months in the metro area. PINK ‘N’ GRAY is going below his best but Chris Parnham returns to the saddle. FOXY ROYALE was one of the very few to make any ground on Narrogin Cup Day. FOO TROUBLE ran a good race at his Farrell debut. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – STIRLING ESTATE WIN Race 5 VITAL DANCER has been around the mark all preparation. Beaux Edwards elects to ride Dolly Em but Vital Dancer should be able to sit outside him and grind him down. TWISTED MOUNTAIN was backed hard last start in a race which didn’t look to suit on paper. He rattled to the line and clearly loves the Narrogin circuit. Up to 1100 is much better for him. REACTION usually puts in a run fresh. Keep safe. DOLLY EM controlled last start and won well. Slightly tougher assignment. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – VITAL DANCER WIN Race 6 NOT TODAY SON and REDMILL are drawn gates 12 and 13 but should come across together to take control of the speed and dominate the race from the front. Siding with Not Today Son who is building and improving with racing. REDMILL has been knocking on the door his entire career and lobs a very winnable race. MISTINGUETTE has showed glimpses of staying ability. WHO’S A PRETTY GAL next best. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 8 – 10 Suggested Bet – NOT TODAY SON WIN Race 7 ARMED AND READY was just knocked about and held up at a crucial stage last start in a race where they strung out and ran really solid time. From the gate he should get every chance to break through again. XAARMERIT should be able to find the front here and that’s a big positive. FRIAR WAY hasn’t been going that well but this is the easiest race he has seen in years. STAADEN looks a stayer in the making. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – ARMED AND READY WIN Race 8 RED WARRIOR looks a put in and take out job in the last. First start for Michael Lane, first-up, no trial and showed huge ability when last in work. Run down first-up last preparation by Boomtastic in a race 5L faster than average over 1000. Leads them or box seats over 930 #gameover. SECRET ASSAULT is going well. BOYISH won a weaker race last start. BACKTOBEVERLY a mad one for novelties. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – RED WARRIOR Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,7,3 1,3 1,2,4,7 4 Market Market
