Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on December 5, 2019December 5, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 AMERICAN BRAVE (4) was an impressive 1.55.6 winner here before choking down at his last start. He has plenty of ability and should prove hard to beat but must be taken on trust due to his poor manners. ZENNART (2) would lead and win this anywhere near his best but he hasn’t shown that for a while although he trialled fairly when beaten 8m by AMERICAN BRAVE (4) on Sunday. STEFSBEST (10) has trialled nicely for his return but is better suited from the front line. ATHABASCAN (9) is racing well but is drawn poorly. Tips: 4 2 10 8 Suggested Bet: AMERICAN BRAVE (4) to win. Race 2 SALEAHS COMMAND (2) led throughout to win in 1.53.9 at Pinjarra at his last start. He looks the leader tonight and should prove very hard to catch over the sprint trip. CROCODILE KID (10) led throughout in 1.55.2 here last week and will play apart if he has any luck from this draw. WALTZINGWITHSIERRA (11) ran a nice 2nd on Tuesday and follows out the favourite. BE ON GUARD (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be in the money at odds. Tips: 2 10 11 1 Suggested Bet: SALEAHS COMMAND (2) to win. Race 3 ROMAN AVIATOR (1) hasn’t had much luck in the draws but has been racing well in stronger company. He gets the chance to lead from this draw and should be hard to catch. AS HAPPY AS LARRY (6) resumes from a spell and will appreciate the drop in class from who he was racing in his last campaign. COMMANDER CHAPEL (3) showed signs he may be getting back to his best last week when held up last week and could be an improver tonight. BETTOR BE LIVELY (11) put up a sound effort first up and will find this easier. Tips: 1 6 3 11 Suggested Bet: ROMAN AVIATOR (1) to win. Race 4 GALACTIC STAR (5) couldn’t make ground in a 26.7 last quarter at his first run back from a spell but is better suited tonight and should give a great sight in a very open affair. ANA MALAK (7) has had no luck at his four runs back in WA and will be right in the finish if he gets the right trip. IDEAL LINER (3) will strip fitter for his solid first-up 2nd and has drawn nicely. VULTAN TIN (8) has resumed from a spell with two slashing runs but is drawn poorly again. Tips: 5 7 3 8 Suggested Bet: GALACTIC STAR (5) to win. Race 5 GOTTA GO GABBANA (1) has been plagued by bad draws when racing the mares and gets her chance from the pole tonight. She isn’t the quickest beginner but should be able to do enough to hold up and will be extremely hard to beat in that role. ARMA INDIE (3) has won six of her past nine starts and should be in the finish from this draw. OUR ALFIE ROMEO (12) defeated a similar field last start but goes the backline tonight. SARAH GOODY (10) beat a weaker field here last week and can be placed from this draw. Tips: 1 3 12 10 Suggested Bet: GOTTA GO GABBANA (1) to win. Race 6 TAROONA BROMAC (11) has won eight of his ten starts and looks to have a big future. He looks to have a class edge on his rivals with the only query being his ability to handle the small track from behind. BRAEVIEW BONDI (12) was a strong 2nd here at his last start and should be in the finish. FAKE NEWS (8) warmed up for her return with an impressive trial win and will be running on. BRACKEN SKY (6) is racing extremely consistently and can be in the money again. Tips: 11 12 8 6 Suggested Bet: TAROONA BROMAC (11) to win. Race 7 SHADOW ROLL (2) is yet to miss a place in his 14 career starts and he ran well when 2nd to Its Rock And Roll in quick time on Monday. This looks a considerably easier assignment and he is clearly the one to beat. LA SULEIMAN (4) led throughout in 1.54.9 two starts back and looks the main danger. SAMEPLACE SAMETIME (3) was a solid 2nd at his last start and should settle close to the lead. SKYLINE TRAIL (1) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be placed at odds. Tips: 2 4 3 1 Suggested Bet: SHADOW ROLL (2) to win. Race 8 KIWI BLOKE (2) has won four of his five starts this time in and was a dominant Pinjarra victor at his last start. He should find the top if he steps cleanly and will be extremely hard to catch. JIMMY MACK (9) has won 11 of his 21 career starts and warmed up for his return with a big Pinjarra trial win so must be respected. ALWAYS AN HONOUR (4) was a 38m Bunbury stand winner at his last start and looks ready for the rise in class. MAJOR SPOILT (7) led throughout to win from the mobile here last start and is an accomplished stand performer. Tips: 2 9 4 7 Suggested Bet: KIWI BLOKE (2) to win. Race 9 OUR CORELLI (3) hasn’t had much luck of late but he looks a good chance to find the front tonight and will give a great sight in that role. SPEED MAN (8) has faced the breeze and performed well at his last two starts and is capable of running a big race despite the wide draw. SIMBA BROMAC (4) should enjoy a nice run in the moving line and is the other class runner of the field. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (2) is drawn to get a nice run in transit and can be placed. Tips: 3 8 4 2 Suggested Bet: OUR CORELLI (3) to win. Race 10 CONVERT DENARIO (7) ran a nice 2nd in the Bunbury Cup against considerably stronger opposition. He won’t find it easy from this draw but drops in class and should run a big race. ICEENOTHINK (4) is flying and his big finish could be enough to win a race of this nature if it is run to suit. SERGEANT OATS (1) is racing well and should give some cheek from the draw. TYLER BRETT (3) breezed and was a solid 3rd to ICEENTHINK (4) last start and must be considered from his nice draw. Tips: 7 3 1 3 Suggested Bet: CONVERT DENARIO (7) to win. Race 11 TIFFANY ROSE (5) has been impressive in winning at her first three starts in WA. This is her toughest test to date but she is clearly the one to beat. MY SWEET DEAL (7) wasn’t suited when wide in a quick last lap when 2nd here last week but has won seven of her ten starts and must be respected. FARAWAYEYES (1) was a solid 2nd to TIFFANY ROSE (5) here at her last start and can play a part from the pole. SOME COPPER BEACH (6) wasn’t suited when caught in the breeze at her last start and can be in the finish with a better trip. Tips: 5 7 1 6 Suggested Bet: TIFFANY ROSE (5) to win. Market Market
