Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on July 18, 2019July 19, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1: GEE JAY KAY (7) is now living up to his early promise and has won three of his last four starts. He was ultra-impressive in defeating Its Rock And Roll here last week and can overcome the wide draw again. ROBB STARK (4) worked hard in the run and was only nabbed on the line here last week and looks the main danger. BETTOR B ABELIEVER (3) looks the leader and will give them something to catch. IAM LAMBROS (1) doesn’t have the class of his main rivals but looks a place chance from the pole. Tips: 7 4 3 1 Suggested Bet: GEE JAY KAY (7) to win. Race 2: ONE OFF DELIGHT (2) wasn’t far away when 6th here last week after starting from the backline. He is a noted frontrunner and will be extremely hard to beat if he finds the top. WHOSWHOINTHEZOO (1) ran on to finish 3rd in the same race last week and looks the main danger from the pole. PRESIDENTMACH (6) was in great form last campaign and must be respected first-up tonight. BELTANE (5) worked hard and wasn’t far away last start and can be in the finish. Tips: 2 1 6 5 Suggested Bet: ONE OFF DELIGHT (2) to win. Race 3: OUR CORELLI (4) has impressed at his three starts for his new stable and looks the one to beat after drawing inside his main rival tonight. WARFARE (6) is flying and drops in class on his recent assignments. MIGHTY SANTANA (8) was placed in a stronger event here last week but will find it hard to beat the favoured pair from this draw. BAYLAN JETT (1) was placed behind OUR CORELLI (4) last week and can be in the money again from the pole. Tips: 4 6 8 1 Suggested Bet: OUR CORELLI (4) to win. Race 4: OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (2) ran a slashing 2nd at big odds here last week after starting from a wide draw. He looks the likely leader tonight and should give a great sight in that role. IM SOXY (3) has had no luck in similar company at his last few starts and will win a race of this nature soon. TACT MAJOR (4) is flying and should be thereabouts if he gets the right trip. TOMMY BE GOOD (8) is in career best form but will need some luck in running from this draw. Tips: 2 3 4 8 Suggested Bet: OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (2) to win. Race 5: SAYING GRACE (4) was terrorised in front but held on to win a slick 1.54.0 here last week. This field looks slightly weaker and he should make it back-to-back victories. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (1) hasn’t had much luck since leading throughout five starts back and looks a major player from the pole. BECHERS BROOK (5) had every chance when 4th here last week but will strip fitter for that run. MAJOR POCKET (6) has plenty of ability but this draw makes it tough. Tips: 4 1 5 6 Suggested Bet: SAYING GRACE (4) to win. Race 6: THE WAR NURSE (5) was held up for a run when 4th here last week but looks the likely leader tonight and will be hard to catch. MACZAFFAIR (8) is the class mare of the field but has lost her dominance of late. She has a wide draw to overcome but will give a great sight. COME DANCE WITH ME (7) couldn’t get into the race last week but will be suited if there is an early burn. COUNTESS GRACE (1) has been placed at her past two starts and the rise in class is offset by her perfect draw. Tips: 5 8 7 1 Suggested Bet: THE WAR NURSE (5) to win. Race 7: THE DALI EXPRESS (1) impressed at his WA debut when working to the front in a standing start event and running home in 55.9. He has a handicap advantage over his main rival and will be hard to catch if he jumps to the front. FIZZING (9) has won three of his last four starts, all from the stand and can overcome his 30m handicap. DESTINED TO RULE (2) has been placed at four of his past five starts and should be thereabouts again. THE MIDAS TOUCH (4) makes his first appearance from a stand but can play a part if he steps cleanly. Tips: 1 9 2 4 Suggested Bet: THE DALI EXPRESS (1) to win. Race 8: VALENTIN ES BROOK (4) was a strong Northam winner before copping a check at a crucial stage when 2nd to JAXON JONES (7). He has had seven weeks between runs but will be hard to beat if near his top. MARCOTTI (6) won his first two race starts before being beaten by VALENTINES BROOK (4). He resumes from a spell but looks the obvious danger. RED HOT LADY (1) has shown ability in her three career starts and can challenge the boys from the pole. POISEDTOPOUNCE (8) has ability but the draw makes it tough. Tips: 4 6 1 8 Suggested Bet: VALENTINES BROOK (4) to win. Race 9: LIVURA (2) has been placed at his last five starts and led throughout here three runs back. He looks the likely leader tonight and should prove hard to catch. BETTER SCOOT (5) has been placed at his last two starts in slick time and looks the main danger. THE TRILOGY (6) has been battling bad draws and strong fields and looks an improver here. THREE KINGS (1) should get a lovely run and can be placed at odds. Tips: 2 5 6 1 Suggested Bet: LIVURA (2) to win. Race 10: SHOCKWAVE (7) is a talented 3YO who won a similar race two starts back before finishing midfield in a strong 3YO event here last week. He is drawn wide but looks to have a class edge on his rivals and is the one to beat. VEILED SECRET (3) is a bit one-paced but will be hard to beat if she can bully her way to the front. ROMAN AVIATOR (4) was narrowly beaten here last week and should be thereabouts again. CHANGE OF ADDRESS (1) looks a great place chance from the pole. Tips: 7 3 4 1 Suggested Bet: SHOCKWAVE (7) to win. Market Market
