Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on April 11, 2019 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Preview Race 1 THE ART FORM (1) led throughout four starts back but has been hampered by backline draws at his three subsequent runs. He is drawn to lead tonight and is clearly the one to beat. IM SOXY (5) was a strong winner from the breeze here last week in solid time and is the obvious danger. LOT TWENTY ONE (6) was a good all-the-way winner here at his last start but will have to come from behind tonight. LIVURA (8) hasn’t had much luck but is starting to become an expensive proposition for followers. Tips: 1 5 6 8 Suggested Bet: THE ART FORM (1) to win. Race 2 OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (6) was impressive in winning her last two starts before a spell and warmed up for this with a dominant Byford trial win. She is drawn inside her main rivals and will give a great sight. EDEN FRANCO (9) disappointed last start but is better suited at the middle distance and is the proven mare in this field. OUR ALFIE ROMEO (8) has five wins and two 2nds in her last seven starts and is up to the rise in class. LADY DE LA RENTA (7) was a great 2nd here last week against the boys and will be running on. Tips: 6 9 8 7 Suggested Bet: OUR ANGEL OF HARLEM (6) to win. Race 3 LORD WILLOUGHBY (1) has been racing well without much luck of late and gets his chance from the pole over the sprint trip. WALKINSHAW (2) was a close-up 4th from a wide barrier last week and will appreciate this draw tonight. ARGYLE RED (10) was held up last week and is drawn to get a lovely run in transit. MATTJESTIC STAR (5) has had torrid runs at his past three starts following a 1.54.1 victory and should be thereabouts here. Tips: 1 2 10 5 Suggested Bet: ARGYLE RED (10) each way. Race 4 ALWAYS ARJAY (1) has been racing extremely well in similar fields and gets his chance from the pole over the sprint trip. CAVIAR STAR (6) hasn’t missed a place in his ten starts this time in and should be in the finish again. WHOZIDEAWASTHIS (8) was an impressive 1.53.6 winner last week but has an awkward draw to overcome and will need a touch of luck. VULTAN TIN (9) was enormous in facing the breeze and running 2nd in the same event but looks in for a tough run again. Tips: 1 6 8 9 Suggested Bet: ALWAYS ARJAY (1) to win. Race 5 BALCATHERINE (10) was impressive in winning her two starts in NZ and looks hard to beat first up for the Hall camp despite the awkward draw. MY PRAYER (4) has impressed in winning her last two starts and is ready for the rise in class. SOHO INTERCEPTOR (2) looks to be working back towards her best form and could give them something to catch if she finds the top. MAJORPRIDE (1) disappointed after having every chance last week but can be placed from the pole. Tips: 10 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: BALCATHERINE (10) to win. Race 6 BACK TO THE BEACH (6) ran a solid 2nd to Kerrin Joseph before working hard in the last lap when 6th here last week. This looks an easier assignment and he should give a great sight. NEIGHLOR (4) has been battling bad barriers of late and will appreciate the better draw tonight. MIGHTY FLYING DEAL (7) led when a narrow 2nd to Im Soxy here last week but isn’t as well drawn tonight. JAXON FELLA (2) has been unplaced at his past 11 starts but could be an improver from this draw. Tips: 6 4 7 2 Suggested Bet: BACK TO THE BEACH (6) to win. Race 7 WARFARE (1) was ultra-impressive in defeating Vincenzo Peruggia in 1.53.6 at his WA debut. He is drawn perfectly here and will be too good if he can handle the rise in distance. WAIMAC ATTACK (2) is drawn to get the run of the race and should be thereabouts. LIBERTY ROSE (6) finally had some luck in running when well driven to win last week but will find it harder from out here. WARRIORS CODE (5) is in career best form but goes up in class for this assignment. Tips: 1 2 6 5 Suggested Bet: Quinella WARFARE (1) & WAIMAC ATTACK (2). Race 8 MARQUISARD (1) has been unplaced at his past 11 starts but hasn’t had much luck recently. He wasn’t far away in the race won by Bob Wheel last week and he should give a great sight from the pole. IDEAL ONE (10) was a winner in quick time from this draw two starts back and will be dangerous late. LIAM NEIL (4) won two on end before finishing a close 3rd here last week and shouldn’t be far away. FROSTYFLYER (7) is always a chance if the race is run to suit. Tips: 1 10 4 7 Suggested Bet: MARQUISARD (1) to win. Race 9 QUICK STRIDE (3) has won five on end, including a comfortable victory at Bunbury at his last start. This represents a rise in class but he is well drawn and looks the one to beat. HEEZ MANLY (7) was second up from a long break when a narrow 2nd here last week after doing all of the work and should make his presence felt. GANGBUSTER (1) is drawn to lead if desired but may take a sit tonight. ILLUSIONATION (10) should enjoy a soft run on the pegs and can be placed at odds. Tips: 3 7 1 10 Suggested Bet: QUICK STRIDE (3) to win. Race 10 TRUST MY JUDGEMENT (1) started off a 40m handicap when a 2.8m 2nd to Bettor Scoot last start and will be hard to catch if he bounces to the front tonight. ONEONTHEWOOD (3) was placed in three consecutive stands before failing in a mobile last start and will appreciate the return to the tapes tonight. ATTACK ON COMMAND (6) wasn’t suited last start but must be considered on his previous form. CRACKA STAR (5) can fly the stand on his day and would give a great sight if he happened to find the front here. Tips: 1 3 6 5 Suggested Bet: TRUST MY JUDGEMENT (1) to win. Market Market
