Gloucester Park 27 November – Harness Preview Posted on November 27, 2015December 8, 2015 | Posted by Trent Cooper Trent Cooper’s Tips Race 1 – DEL BASSO WHOLESALE MEAT SUPPLIES THE KERSLEY FINAL CYAMACH (9) has won all three starts since a short let-up in convincing fashion. He was particularly impressive at his last start when facing the breeze in a quickly run standing start event and holding off Elegant Christian. He is drawn poorly tonight but is the class runner of the field. BETTOR RULES (6) has won two of his last three and will be extremely hard to run down if he can cross to the pegs early. MUST BE NICE (1) doesn’t have the class of some but has a perfect draw to lead or sit close to the pace and should be thereabouts, while FLAMING HERO (10) is racing well and should also obtain a nice run on the pegs. Tips: 9 6 1 10 Suggested Bet: CYAMACH (9) to win. Race 2: DEL BASSO 5 STAR MEAT SUPPLIES SAN SIMEON QUALIFYING HEAT 1 COMMANDER CHAPEL (7) has taken all before him with seven wins from as many starts since joining the Bond stable. He was ultra-impressive in facing the breeze and rating 1.56.2 for the 2130m journey at his last start and is clearly the one to beat. MORTON PLAINS (5) has built up a nice record in the Eastern States and was reportedly underdone when beaten as a $1.20 favourite last start. VULTAN TIN (1) was a winner in easier company on Monday and has the draw to be in this for a long way, while OUR JERICHO (6) has been impressive in winning his first two starts in stands. Tips: 7 5 1 6 Suggested Bet: COMMANDER CHAPEL (7) to win. Race 3: WESTRAL BINSHAW QUALIFYING HEAT 1 MACHIN OUT (1) has taken 140 starts to hit peak form but he is there now and looks hard to beat. He was a strong winner in weaker company last start and looks capable of holding the front and giving them something to catch tonight. LUNAR TIDE (6) ran on resolutely and was just beaten in a stronger field last week and should be thereabouts again. MACH DENARIO (9) has good form in Victoria against classy fields and can overcome his wide barrier, while BETTER THAN MONEY (10) is drawn to get a lovely run and can be in the placings. Tips: 1 6 9 10 Suggested Bet: MACHIN OUT (1) to win. Race 4: RETRAVISION INTER DOMINION HEAT 1 WAYLADE (2) has taken on the mantle as WA’s best pacer and gets his chance to assert his authority on the series from this draw. He will endeavour to lead and would be nigh on unbeatable in that role but will still run a big race if that scenario doesn’t eventuate. DEVENDRA (4) is making his WA debut but has great gate speed and will be suited by the track if he can find the top early. MACHTU (1) isn’t at his best but is drawn to get a perfect run and shouldn’t be too far away, while JASON RULZ (10) is drawn to be saved up for one sharp sprint and it won’t be a surprise to see him finish over the top of them. Tips: 2 4 1 10 Suggested Bet: DEVENDRA (4) each way. Race 5: DEL BASSO SMALLGOODS 4YO CHAMPIONSHIP BEAUDIENE BOAZ (6) has won 17 of his 23 starts and has proven to be WA’s top 4YO. He was far from disgraced when a close 2nd to RUN ONEOVER (3) two starts ago after facing the breeze before easily accounting for a field of Inters contestants in the Bunbury Cup. He has the draw to push forward at the start and is the one to beat. MENIN GATE (12) is the reigning Victorian Horse of the Year and has the strength to be put into the race and make it a real contest. RUN ONEOVER (3) upset the favourite two starts back from similar barriers and is capable of repeating the dose with the right run in transit. BETTOR REWARD (1) is a notch below the best but should go into all novelties from this draw. Tips: 6 3 12 1 Suggested Bet: BEAUDIENE BOAZ (6) to win. Race 6: TABTOUCH INTER DOMINION HEAT 2 LENNYTHESHARK (7) is the series favourite and is coming off a dominant 1.52.6 win in the Smoken Up Sprint where he toyed with his rivals. He is versatile and Chris Alford has the option of pushing forward at the start or coming with a late run. FLAMING FLUTTER (2) is a tough Victorian who has had his colours lowered by the favourite at his last two starts but can turn the tables if he could find the front from his good barrier. MY HARD COPY (4) has a sizzling finish and will be steaming home again, while OUR BLACKBIRD (1) hasn’t had a lot of luck recently and could be a big improver from this draw at good each way odds. Tips: 7 2 4 1 Suggested Bet: OUR BLACKBIRD (1) each way. Race 7: TABTOUCH PARLIAMENTARIANS CUP LEDA MCNALLY (1) was disappointing last campaign but has returned from a spell at her top with an all the way victory over the boys before leading and being run down by IDEAL ALICE (6) last start. This field is collectively stronger but she is drawn to lead again and will give them something to catch. MILLY PEREZ (11) and BERISARI (12) are outstanding Victorian mares and have the class to overcome their backline draws. NUALA (5) has won 14 of her 17 career starts and sprinted home in 26.5 when winning on Monday and will be thereabouts with luck in running. Tips: 1 11 12 5 Suggested Bet: LEDA MCNALLY (1) each way. Race 8: KAI CONSTRUCTION INTER DOMINION HEAT 3 PHILADELPHIA MAN (6) is one of the main fancies for this series and his last run can be overlooked where he had to work too hard in a quickly run QPC. He should be suited by the likely early burn and can be brought into the race whenever Gavin Lang decides. MACH BEAUTY (4) is one-dimensional but he is at the right track for a leader. His chances will be decided early as getting across Bettors Fire at the start will determine if he has anything to offer at the finish. AVONNOVA (10) isn’t suited by the second row draw but his class will take him a long way, while LOVERS DELIGHT (1) could be a sneaky chance from his perfect draw. Tips: 6 4 10 1 Suggested Bet: PHILADELPHIA MAN (6) to win. Race 9: VCM COFFEE & EQUIPMENT MS PACE SMOKEY THE BANDIT (7) is the first emergency for the Inters heats and would be competitive if he gained a start. He ran a blistering last 400 when 3rd to Beaudiene Boaz last start and clearly has the best turn of foot in this field. His racing style means that he will always need a bit of luck but look for the flying finish of the grey. CONDRIEU (8) has exceptional gate speed and will be very hard to beat if he can cross. ELEGANT CHRISTIAN (9) is the other class runner of the field and can overcome his wide draw, while LISHARRY (1) grows a leg on the pegs and could be a blowout chance. Tips: 7 8 9 1 Suggested Bet: SMOKEY THE BANDIT (7) to win. Race 10: VINCE NOMINEES PTY LTD 3YO MS PACE FRANCO RAYNER (3) has returned from a spell in style with two wins in weaker fields. He has reeled off quick last halves on both occasions and has the barrier advantage over his main rivals. EL JACKO (5) has been ultra-impressive in facing the breeze and winning his three WA starts and is the obvious danger. LIGHTNING JOLT (9) is in great form but has a tough barrier to overcome. CHICAGO BULL (6) has very good form lines in NZ but his recent trial wasn’t convincing so monitor the betting closely. Tips: 3 5 9 6 Suggested Bet: FRANCO RAYNER (3) to win.
