The Scout: Paul Gallen vs Mark Hunt Posted on December 15, 2020December 15, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Former NRL star Paul Gallen is yet to taste defeat in 10 fights, the last of which being his November 2019 draw with Barry Hall. Mark Hunt enters the ring the far more experienced fighter, competing at the highest levels of combat sports – K1, Pride and UFC. The Kiwi rose to fame with his aggressive striking and walk-off knockouts. Despite his last professional boxing fight being back in 2000, Hunt will also be the more technical boxer, and there can be no doubting his power. He is a genuinely scary proposition in a fight like this. Gallen is seven years younger and should hold a fitness edge if this fight lasts into the latter rounds. When Mark Hunt is involved though, that is a big if. Look for Hunt to come out swinging, and while he may tire, he won’t stop looking for a knockout blow. Gallen’s job will be to avoid him early, and then pick him apart in the final rounds. Gallen has been impressive to date in his boxing career but Mark Hunt is a huge step up from anyone he’s faced. Hunt may not be the fighter he was five years ago but I think he’ll just be too powerful for Gallen to handle. Suggested Bet: Mark Hunt by KO/TKO @ 1.83* Value Bet: Mark Hunt Round 3-4 (Round Group Betting) @ 4.40* Market Market
