France v Belgium

A surprise 1-1 draw with Poland saw France finish second in their group, and they haven’t been too impressive so far. Kylian Mbappe should continue to play while wearing a mask, while Antoine Griezmann should return to the line-up at the expense of Bradley Barcola. The backline is unlikely to change.

Belgium were booed off by their own supporters following the goalless draw with Ukraine, and they have failed to score in two of their three games. Romelu Lukaku has yet to find the net, while Leandro Trossard failed to impress in his two starts. Dodi Lukebakio returns from suspension, but Axel Witsel and Thomas Meunier are likely to miss out again.

Portugal v Slovenia

A much-changed Portugal were shocked by Georgia in the final group game and will revert to their strongest team. Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Pepe, Ruben Dias, and Joao Cancelo should come in, with Rafael Leao available after suspension. Cristiano Ronaldo continues up front but has yet to find the net in this tournament.

Slovenia’s players did the nation proud by drawing with England to progress to the last 16, and they will make minimal changes for this game. Erik Janza is suspended, and Jure Balkovec is likely to step in at left back. Benjamin Sesko is the star man in attack but has yet to score; service is at a premium as Slovenia average just 32% possession.
