Race 1

IM MASSIMO (1) was narrowly beaten on debut and looks to come on well from that first up performance. Has options from the draw and looks the hardest to beat. HOLD THE AMMO (5) trialled up well and looks to have come back better, expecting a top 2 finish from him. MAJOR DISCO (3) debuted well, and CAPTAIN SAID SO (6) has ability and a few tricks, could play a part early.

Suggested Bet: IM MASSIMO (1) to win.

Race 2

TILTHESUNSETS (4) has shown promise in NZ and has start number one in Australia here. Was reliable away from the tapes and looks the potential leader and expecting a strong debut here. HOLD THAT GOLD (9) will be fitter for the first up win and this is still a suitable grade, should run a bold race. SELLUNE (8) copy and paste from his last few runs, he’s an each way chance. MAJESTIC MARION (6) has some early traffic to negotiate. DREAMBIGAIMHIGH (7) not the worst in a tricky race to work out.

Suggested Bet: TILTHESUNSETS (4) to win.

Race 3

BETTERTHAN SECRET (1) carved out some solid sectionals in trials recently and showed good early speed, looks ideally placed on return racing into the lightning lap. BUNDEGI BLUE (8) has a tricky draw to overcome and being first up are both slight concerns but has ability. SPINNER OF YARNS (7) has elevated recently and can do work in his races. STRAYLYA (6) just needs a touch of luck but is an each way chance, has been unlucky as of late. MANGO TANGO (4) a must for novelties at odds.

Suggested Bet: BETTERTHAN SECRET (1) to win.

Race 4

BONNE AMOUR (5) improved nicely last preparation and with a spell and coming back, she looks to have found a suitable assignment on return. PECUNIOUS (2) mixes her form but gets another opportunity here. RADIANT BAY (1) will run her usual honest and consistent race from the good draw. YANKEEDELIGHT (6) is capable of running a race at silly odds in this. SUGAR BOO (3) rises in grade.

Tips: 5 2 1 6

Suggested Bet: BONNE AMOUR (5) to win.

Race 5

YANKIE KEV (7) drops back in grade and looks set to improve nicely here, he can be driven aggressively in this and I think he can get the job done. RECOVER LOVER (4) looks the potential leader here and should run a bold race. MISTER KOPA (6) should get a reasonable run and will be in the thick of the finish. DREAM CONTROL (8) rarely runs a bad race but she needs some tempo on to suit her racing style.

Suggested Bet: YANKIE KEV (7) to win.

Race 6

PENNY BLACK (6) looks set to work through her grades, she should win again and has been very impressive in her last two performances. WANDERING GIRL (1) has the speed to lead early but expecting to take cover n this rise in grade and becomes a place chance. CHAMPAGNE EVERYONE (7) is racing strongly but the draw makes things a lot more challenging, novelty player. JACKIE DANIELS (2) & SECRET REACTION (5) looks the next best for novelty value in a race that could throw up some interesting placings.

Tips: 6 7 2 5

Suggested Bet: JACKIE DANIELS (2) to place.

Race 7 

JINGLING JEWELS (4) we butter up again, he has brilliant gate speed and I think this week he will cross, over the short course I am expecting a much stronger performance. He hasn’t been at his best as of late is one of the only concerns but this appears to suit him perfectly. COLORADO BANNER (9) will be hoping for some speed on, he has been unplaced recently but his performances have been strong through the line and I think he is a solid chance here. THEYCALL ME STOOGE (8) will be running on well. GO HOME JO (5) is going better than form reads, value for novelties. BEALAWYER (2) can improve from the good draw.

Suggested Bet: JINGLING JEWELS (4) to win.

Race 8

LADY VIOLETTA (1) was outstanding in defeat last time out and a repeat performance of that should see her go very close to winning. She met DOURADO (10) on the same handicap on that day and the gelding goes back 10m here so that makes things a lot harder for him. He still looks to be the main danger in the race. CODENAME MARCUS (7) is racing well but takes on his first stand which could be somewhat concerning, winning chance with a safe getaway. IM DRINKINDOUBLES (4) can use his brilliance early to set himself up to run into the novelties.

Suggested Bet: LADY VIOLETTA (1) to win.

Race 9

SWEET PINS (11) should be winning this on what we saw at the trials in Byford a week ago, was powerful through the line and should open a winning account on debut. EBEE AVIATOR (3) gets the good draw and looks a wonderful place chance. BLACKSAMURAI (12) has ability but can be frustrating to follow, trialled well and looks a good chance to run on to the podium. MIDWIFE CALLING (5) and INEEDA DRINK (8) looks next best in terms of novelty prospects.

Tips: 11 12 3 8

Suggested Bet: EBEE AVIATOR (3) to place.
