The Scout: EPL Week 9 Posted on November 20, 2020November 20, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Aston Villa vs Brighton 5th placed Aston Villa broke their two-game losing streak with an emphatic 3-0 away win over Arsenal. This was another big scalp for a side growing in confidence and looking every bit a top 10 contender. Brighton (16th) haven’t won in six straight attempts and continue to struggle against teams with elite goal scoring ability. Aston Villa have beaten Liverpool, Leicester and Arsenal already this season and have conceded just nine goals through the opening eight fixtures. The creativity and attacking flair of Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has been one of the biggest reasons for their early season form. The Englishman has four goals and five assists and is playing like one of the best mids in the league. Brighton have struggled this season against potent attacking sides that have speed on the counter. This sums up Villa in what looks the best bet of the weekend. Suggested Bet: Aston Villa (Match Result) @ $2.15* Liverpool vs Leicester City Unbeaten in four Premier League matches, Liverpool (3rd) are hitting their straps while Leicester sit atop the league table having won their last three. This fixture has long created exciting matches and plenty of goals. Six of the last seven clashes between these two has seen both teams score, and given the firepower at hand, it’s fair to expect the same again here. Liverpool’s strong record at home does not mean they aren’t susceptible to conceding goals. In fact, Liverpool are yet to keep a clean sheet at home this season. The questions around Liverpool’s defense will continue with van Dijk and Gomez both out indefinitely. Liverpool may also be without Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold who both suffered injuries playing for England. Jamie Vardy has eight goals for the season, with three in his last three games, and looks a great chance to add to that tally here. Suggested Bet: Jamie Vardy (Anytime Goalscorer) @ $2.10* Burnley vs Crystal Palace Burnley are well on their way to relegation, languishing in 19th they are yet to record a single win this season. Crystal Palace (8th) have had a solid campaign, tallying four wins including a 3-1 defeat of Manchester United at Old Trafford. The best player at Crystal Palace has long been Wilfred Zaha, who has shown flashes of his immense potential for several seasons now. He has five goals for the season and is playing the most consistent football of his career. Burnley’s biggest issue has been their lack of goal scoring threats. They’ve scored just three times through their first seven games, going goalless in five of their last seven. Woeful to say the least! Crystal Palace (led by Zaha) have the firepower to get ahead in this match and if they do, it’s (very) hard to see Burnley clawing back any sort of deficit. Suggested Bet: Crystal Palace (Match Result) @ $2.75* *Odds correct as at 8am, 20th November 2020. Market Market
