The Scout: EPL Matchday 19 Posted on December 26, 2018 | Posted by The Scout Fulham vs Wolverhampton 26th December, 11pm WST Fulham are still dead last in the League and are yet to record a win in the month of December. It’s an understatement to say they are in dire straights coming into this Boxing Day clash. 10th place Wolverhampton had their three-game win streak snapped by League leaders Liverpool in a 2-0 defeat at home. There were many positives though for the Wolves. They had plenty of chances and did not shy away from their style of football, even though they were facing the League’s best. There are serious issues on both ends of the pitch for Fulham. In attack they are struggling to score goals – they have only managed to score twice in five matches and are goalless in their last two. Defensively they own the worst record in the league, allowing 42 goals in 18 matches, conceding an average of two goals per game at home. Wolverhampton are playing a great brand of football and have some genuine class in the squad including Portuguese midfielder Diogo Jota (two goals and an assist in his last three matches) who appears to have settled into his new side, and was badly missed against Liverpool. Suggested Bet: Match Result Wolverhampton @ $2.25 Leicester vs Manchester City 26th December, 11pm WST Manchester City going down 3-2 at home to Crystal Palace was easily the upset of the season. The title ramifications are obvious with Liverpool now four points clear on top of the table. Leicester (9th) come into this match off the back of a 1-0 away win over Chelsea – their best performance of the season. It was a fantastic defensive showing, as the Foxes held Chelsea goalless at home, becoming the first away team this season to leave Stamford Bridge with all three points. Leicester have shown they are a good side but have only a few avenues to goal and will have their hands full with a focused Manchester City squad. The Manchester City defense has eased ever so slightly, with no clean sheets coming from their last six Premier League games. Suggested Bet: Match Result Manchester City & Both Teams To Score @ $2.80 Brighton vs Arsenal 27th December, 1.15am WST Unai Emery may have finally found Arsenal’s best attacking formation in his side’s a 3-1 win over Burnley. Strikers Lacazette and Aubameyang played up front together with Mesut Ozil sitting directly behind, which worked perfectly and was the best Arsenal have looked in attack in quite a few matches. The Gunners are currently 5th, but are just goal difference behind Chelsea and have a strong away record this season (7 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws). Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the League with 12 goals for the season, and looks to be the difference maker in this fixture. I expect him to score at least once and be involved in the majority of Arsenal’s goal threats. Brighton have scored at least once in eight of their nine matches at home, while in Arsenal’s last four away matches there has been a whopping 16 goals. I think this trend can continue. Suggested Bet: Match Result Arsenal & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.45 *Odds correct as at 8.30am WST 24th December 2018. Market Market
