The Scout: EPL Best Bets Posted on June 25, 2020 | Posted by The Scout Burnley vs Watford Burnley’s first game back was a disaster, going down 5-0 to a rampant Manchester City. Although they’re in no relegation danger, the loss has seen the Clarets fall to 11th on the table. Watford were last last weekend, coming away with a point from their clash with Leicester. It may prove to be a crucial point in the long run with the Hornets just one point clear of the relegation zone. Although Watford’s attack is not the calibre of Manchester City’s, they still have their share of weapons in Deeney, Doucoure and Pereyra. Watford will have an extra two days rest, while for Burnley; Ashley Barnes, Robbie Brady and Ben Gibson have been ruled out for this clash. Watford have a huge opportunity here to create some genuine separation from the bottom three. I think this weakened Burnly squad will allow them to take it. Suggested Bet: Match Result Watford @ $2.45* Southampton vs Arsenal Southampton (14th) were super impressive last weekend, romping to a 3-0 away win at Norwich City. The same can’t be said about Arsenal who find themselves 10th on the table after their 2-1 loss to Brighton. This fixture marks the third away assignment for Arsenal since the resumption of the Premier League, and a lengthy list of injuries (and injury clouds) spells major trouble for the Gunners. Southampton will attack fiercely (as they always do) which should allow Arsenal the chance to challenge on the counter. The absentees from the Gunners’ defense however may mean we see plenty of Southampton’s attacking forays lead to shots on goal. Arsenal appear extremely vulnerable ahead of this clash but it would be foolish to count them out all together. I expect Southampton’s attacking style to set the tempo for this game, and both teams to get their chances on goal. Suggested Bet: Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 @ $1.97* Chelsea vs Manchester City Chelsea made it back to back wins in the Premier League, strengthening their grip on 4th spot. It has been business as usual for the defending champions Manchester City. A 3-0 win over Arsenal followed up by a 5-0 thrashing of Burnley. What’s more, in the second game they were without Walker, Laporte, Mendy, De Bruyne, Sterling and Jesus. Manchester City have been menacing in front of goal, and even without Sergio Aguero (injured) the Citizens look near impossible to hold out for an entire match. Defense has been a worry for Chelsea, who have conceded 40 goals for the season. For reference, that’s 11 more than Leicester (3rd) and nine more than Manchester United (5th). Both of those sides have played one more game than Chelsea too! Chelsea have proven to be one of the elite sides of the competition this season. I just can’t see them going toe-to-toe with Manchester City here. The return of a well-rested Kevin de Bryune makes the case even stronger. Suggested Bet: Match Result Manchester City @ $1.90* *Odds correct as at 9am, 25th June 2020. Market Market
