Trent Cooper’s Gloucester Park Preview Posted on June 25, 2020June 25, 2020 | Posted by Trent Cooper Race 1 PIERRE WHITBY (2) has been racing consistently and was a good winner here on Tuesday. He’s drawn perfectly tonight and should prove hard to beat. ALTA RHETT (10) has been placed at his past two starts from this draw in stronger fields and looks a major player if he gets the breaks at the right time. THE BLACK CARDINAL (1) normally takes a sit but has the hood added and could attempt to lead throughout in this company. ART TUTOR (3) recorded an all-the-way win here three starts and will be hard to catch if he finds the top. Tips: 2 10 1 3 Suggested Bet: ALTA RHETT (10) each way. Race 2 EUPHORIC MOMENT (1) has finished near the rear at his last two starts but gets his chance from the pole here. He is equally capable leading or sitting and should give a great sight under either scenario. HEZA HEAD HONCHO (3) has got blistering gatespeed and will give them something to catch if he crosses at the start. ATTACK ON DEMAND (10) is drawn to get a soft run in transit and can play a part. QUICK STRIDE (2) ran a nice 2nd to Infatuation last start and will enjoy a nice run from this draw. Tips: 1 3 10 2 Suggested Bet: ATTACK ON DEMAND (10) each way. Race 3 STROKE OF LUCK (10) was placed in his last three starts in Victoria and warmed up for this with an impressive trial win over Motu Premier. He has an awkward draw but will be hard to hold out with any luck in running. OUR RHYTHM N BLUES (5) was a strong winner from the breeze two starts back and has the strength to play a part here. GEE JAY KAY (7) was unsuited in the breeze first-up and can improve sharply. PARISIAN PARTYGIRL (1) has options from the pole and should be thereabouts. Tips: 10 5 7 1 Suggested Bet: STROKE OF LUCK (10) to win. Race 4 THE BIRD DANCE (6) has won his last three starts and is ready for the rise in class. He has led at his last two from the mobile but is likely to have to use his versatility from back in the field tonight. SPACE JUNK (1) is first-up but warmed up with a nice trial and should play a part from the pole. WHILE THEY PRAY (2) over-raced in the breeze first-up but battled on well to finish 5th and should give a great sight from this draw. CHIAROSCURO (8) is drawn wide but drops in class from 4m 3rd to Chicago Bull. Tips: 6 1 2 8 Suggested Bet: THE BIRD DANCE (6) to win. Race 5 BLACK JACK BABY (2) has won six of her seven starts and should be leading and winning again. JUST FOR LOVE (1) was a good last start winner and looks the main danger from the pole. MINOR CATASTROPHE (10) has shown plenty of ability and looks a great place chance from her trailing draw. BETTOR BEACH BELLE (4) has been placed in three of her four career starts and shouldn’t be far away again. Tips: 2 1 10 4 Suggested Bet: BLACK JACK BABY (2) to win. Race 6 GIVE US A WAVE (1) has only one win from his six starts but he has battled bad draws thus far. He was beaten a long way in the Pearl but should be a big improver from the pole. LAVRA JOE (2) lost no admirers when 2nd in the Pearl and will be right in the finish. CARABAO (10) wasn’t a match for the first pair in that race but draws to get a lovely run and shouldn’t be far away. MIGHTY RONALDO (11) was hopelessly held up in the Pearl but draws to get a nice run in transit tonight. Tips: 1 2 10 11 Suggested Bet: GIVE US A WAVE (1) to win. Race 7 MILLWOOD GUCCI (2) ran consecutive 2nds in solid time after leading recently and will give a great sight if she finds the top tonight. CAPTAIN MANNERING (7) was a strong 4th here last week and must be respected on that effort. BAD ROUND (10) flashed home to finish 3rd in the same event and will appreciate this draw. MADAME MEILLAND (4) has been extremely disappointing this time in but drops in class and can improve. Tips: 2 7 10 4 Suggested Bet: MILLWOOD GUCCI (2) to win. Race 8 ROBBIE EASTON (5) was a dominant winner at this track before being forced to do too much work when a beaten favourite last week. He is better drawn tonight and can bounce back. BETTOR PARTY (1) is racing consistently without winning but should get his chance from the pole. ULTIMATE OFFER (6) was a brave 2nd here last week and looks the other winning chance. MR KIWI (2) has been unplaced at his past three starts but should enjoy a nice run and can be placed. Tips: 5 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: BETTOR PARTY (1) each way. Race 9 CHICAGO BULL (5) worked hard in the final lap but was nabbed late by OCEAN RIDGE (2) last week. He will be better suited by a likely solid tempo early and can exact revenge tonight. OCEAN RIDGE (2) was an impressive winner last week and is always dangerous with the right run. MOTU PREMIER (1) has had the benefits of two recent trials and can play a part from the pole first-up. OUR JIMMY JOHNSTONE (3) had his chance when beaten by the two favourites last start and won’t be far away again. Tips: 5 2 1 3 Suggested Bet: CHICAGO BULL (5) to win. Race 10 MANDY JOAN (2) was a strong winner at her last start against a similar field and is clearly the one to beat after drawing inside her main rivals. TIFFANY ROSE (5) followed a 3rd in that event with a strong win and looks the main danger. SWEET MADDISON (8) has plenty of ability but isn’t racing at her best. RADIANT AMBER (3) was beaten on her merits by TIFFANY ROSE (5) at her last start but can improve with a sit. Tips: 2 5 8 3 Suggested Bet: MANDY JOAN (2) to win. Market Market
