The Scout: Champions League Quarter-Finals Posted on April 1, 2021April 1, 2021 | Posted by The Scout Real Madrid vs Liverpool Liverpool have made a mockery of their Premier League title defense but have been impressive nonetheless in the Champions League. Meanwhile Real Madrid are in fantastic form, going undefeated across all competitions for 10 straight matches. Liverpool’s defensive woes have been well documented since the loss of Virgil Van Dijk to injury. It’s been a worry domestically and it looks a BIG worry here – namely in the form of Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema (five goals in six UCL games this season). Suggested: Real Madrid (Match Result) Manchester City vs Borussia Dortmund Pep Guardiola has Manchester City in a fantastic position. They look certain to take out the Premier League and now much of their focus can be aimed towards UCL glory. City boast a squad close to full strength, and while they will need to be wary of Dortmund striker Erling Haaland (over 30 goals in all competitions this season), City should ultimately be able to overwhelm their opponents with pure attacking power. Suggested Bet: Manchester City and Both Teams To Score Bayern Munich vs Paris St. Germain PSG appear to have improved since last season’s loss in the UCL Final, shaking off some bad habits, evident in their 4-1 away win over Barcelona. PSG have the firepower to trouble any side in world football and Kylian Mbappe is at the front of the line. His pace and finishing ability is what sets him apart, and gives PSG the edge against a Bayern Munich defense that has conceded in 7 of their last 8 games. Suggested Bet: PSG (Match Result) Porto vs Chelsea Despite Porto’s upset victory over Juventus, this was the side that all seven other sides wanted to draw. Porto have been the least-convincing team of the eight, and have also struggled domestically. Make no mistake this Blues defense is the best in the world right now. Under new manager, Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea have been incredible off the back of their rock-solid defense. Atletico Madrid failed to score in either leg at the last stage, and Chelsea may need just one goal to clinch a win in this game. Suggested Bet: Chelsea to Win to Nil Market Market
