The Ascot Feature Rankings Posted on October 28, 2020October 29, 2020 | Posted by Digby Beacham WA Guineas – Nov 21 1 – SECRET PLAN Would have preferred he wasn’t scratched from the Ascot midweek meeting, but we’ll stay in his corner … for now. 2 – MAGICAL DREAM Another from the cerise and white production line. Is 3 for 3 and comes off a Listed Belgravia Stakes win. 3 – SNICKERDOODLEDANDY Like Magical Dream, is a filly and would need to back up from the Champion Fillies. Loved her return last weekend. 4 – DOM TO SHOOT Costly for punters at his first two starts this prep, but his past two have been terrific. Building nicely. 5 – FIRST LAW Only lightly raced, but did catch the eye at his first start back last Saturday week over 1200m. Worth tracking. Market Market Railway Stakes – Nov 21 1 – KAY CEE A Group 1 winner already. Was heavily backed first-up at Group 3 level when still underdone. Where there’s smoke…! 2 – INSPIRATIONAL GIRL With Windstorm and Superstorm seemingly out of the equation, this girl looms as the No.1 seed for Bob and Sandra Peters. 3 – PLATOON Neville Parnham tells it as it is. He is adamant last year’s Railway placegetter is back to his best and his Northerly run was a ripper. 4 – CUP NIGHT Will need to elevate big time, but he’s getting close to a win of some note. 5 – RED CAN MAN An on-speed prospect down in the weights … come on in, Red Can Man. Market Market Winterbottom Stakes – Nov 28 1 – CLAIRVOYANCE Figures she produces each start suggest she is a Group 1 horse every day of the week. 2 – TREKKING Tough Godolphin gelding seeking redemption after not everything went his way 12 months ago. Still in excellent order. 3 – HEY DOC Is not guaranteed of running, but if he heads west to defend his crown, look out. 4 – INDIAN PACIFIC Handled his first big rise in class with aplomb in the Crawford. Live hope. 5 – STAGEMAN Has returned in excellent order. Needs luck because of his racing pattern. Market Market Kingston Town Classic – Dec 5 1 – KAY CEE Doesn’t get the weight relief as she did in last year’s edition, but is proven at the level. 2 – MAGICAL DREAM We only have to look at the history books to see how successful three-year-old fillies are in this race. 3 – MATERIAL MAN Not getting any younger, but is a proven WFA performer and the distance suits. 4 – GAILO CHOP Is also advancing in years, but has arrived in Perth and relished his time in WA 12 months ago. 5 – INSPIRATIONAL GIRL Would be her toughest test, but is clearly above average. Market Market Perth Cup – Jan 2 1 – MISSILE LAUNCH Runner-up last year and is now back in the groove again. 2 – TRULY GREAT One of the more intriguing runners entering the big-money races. Enormous upside. 3 – SPIRITUAL WARRIOR Has had two trials in the lead-up to his return. In astute stable. 4 – NEUFBOSC A runner in last year’s Melbourne Cup. His two trials for Neville Parnham have been encouraging. 5 – TAXAGANO If his Northerly win is anything to go by, is a genuine each-way prospect.
