Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on August 13, 2024August 13, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MEAN MACHINE should safely find his way to the top here for noted front running rider Brad Parnham and from there this looks a winnable assignment for him. Only faded out of it over the last 100m last start and drops back in distance here. Shouldn’t be a maiden too much longer. SAFE SATYR was an impressive debut winner when getting the job done over 1000m but will he start? Whispers of an impending overseas sale. SOUTH HOBA has trialled well recently. OUR EXISTENCE is double accepted for Wednesday and Thursday. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – MEAN MACHINE WIN RACE 2 DESERT WHISPER and CHARINO are both 3 year olds who take on the older horses down the 1000m straight. DESERT WHISPER is very quick and should have no troubles finding the outside fence in front (big advantage), while CHARINO has impressed in his two recent Lark Hill trial wins, both by over 2.5L and both very soft. Think they’re the two main players but given the race day experience will side up with DESERT WHISPER narrowly over CHARINO. DON’THINKJUSTDRINK has straight 1000 experience and speed to burn. HYPERREAL has raced down the straight well previously. Numbers: 16 – 15 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – DESERT WHISPER WIN RACE 3 ESTIMATOR is always hard to run down when he is able to find the top. His last win back in June as on a Soft7 with 59kg when leading, controlling, kicking hard into the corner and winning by over 1.5L. Since then he has run solid races without winning, including finishing second to Paigey’s Turn and Desert Nymph at his last two outings. Hard to get past. DIABLO LAD is likely to roll forward and park outside of Estimator. From there they can control the speed and control the race to suit themselves. DENNIS CHOUX ran well first-up without a trial. Query is the barrier/map. EEYORE WAYZ is well placed. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – ESTIMATOR WIN RACE 4 SUNBRONZED is a straight 1000m winner – big tick, however, he is drawn on the ‘wrong’ side in barrier 1 – big cross. Hard to really reconcile those two elements but have time for the horse, David Harrison’s fly down the straight and his return behind Made In Mexico was sound. This is not a deep race. FAMEUX is having his first start in WA. Not tested in his first trial and then did it a bit too tough in his second. Market watch. APACHE BLUE has shades reattached and comes through some strong form races. DORADO is a tease. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – SUNBRONZED WIN RACE 5 WARRALEA LASS resumed in the Deferred/Silver Eye race which is lengths better than what she meets here. She’s no star but she gives 110% and she’s got the tactical speed and versatility to be ridden aggressively early to take up a position. Big improver. DRINKS ON ME could not have been more impressive last Wednesday at Belmont when marching away from talented 4 year old On The Mark to win by over 1L. Backs up off 7 days and strikes a very moderate line-up. MASTER TACTICIAN thrives on wet tracks. Brad Parnham back a big plus. QUEENSLAND DIESEL has turned a corner. Racing with great consistency. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – WARRALEA LASS EACHWAY RACE 6 BRAVO CENTURION announced himself with a dominant first-up win in sizzling time. He worked hard around them early to eventually cross and they stopped the clock 3L faster than maiden average. He was only off a 400m jump out so expecting improvement second-up and looks a Saturday horse in the making. GOLD VANCOUVER finished within 2L of Generosity in a 3 year old Plate less than 12 months ago. She’s got ability. DELICATE RULER comes back in grade and back in distance which both look to suit. TEABISCUIT hasn’t had anything go his way since his maiden win. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – BRAVO CENTURION WIN RACE 7 LORD LALA has been to a C3 once in his life and came through victorious. Stef Vahala has produced 7 runners off a 5 – 8 week freshen over the last two seasons for 3 winners at 43% Strike Rate and 220% POT. Only two starts back he finished 1.5L off Belmont Guineas winner Luvnwar as well as subsequent winners Wonder Weapon and I Dreamed A Dream. There’s plenty to like – except the barrier. AYUMI has the Deferred/Silver Eye form and that’s enough to justify liking her. PENNY ON THE QUEEN can settle much closer from an inside draw and has returned in good order. KIRALUI won well first-up. Numbers: 1 – 11 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – LORD LALA WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,8 1,2,4,5,8 1 1,2,6,8,9,11 Market Market
