Scott Embry’s Wednesday Pinjarra Preview Posted on July 16, 2024July 16, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 MADE IN MEXICO is a high cruising speed horse who should be suited to 1000m straight track racing. Expecting him to come out positive, work his way towards the outside fence and then be right there in the finish. Always promised a lot at trials and hopefully the gear changes are just what he needs. RUN PATTIE RUN has been down the 1000m straight twice for two excellent placings. The only query is that she gets off speed and has a 3kg apprentice aboard. MYTHICAL MISS broke her maiden against the outside fence when jumping and running. Expect they adopt similar tactics here. OCEAN OUTLAW ran well here at his only attempt. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – MADE IN MEXICO WIN RACE 2 TIMELESS GEM won a barrier trial leading into his debut where he ran into dominant 2 year old Bustling (Perth Stakes, Karrakatta Stakes, WA Sires Produce Stakes winner). He was three wide throughout in that event and never gave it away, beating half the field home. In his recent trial he was ridden out and tested by Brad Parnham and looked like he wanted to switch on and off throughout. Will need some luck from a tricky draw but looks a handy type. ZOUCONI will no doubt command a lot of attention in betting. She’s looked good at trials, has Pike and has a barrier. Naturally hard to beat. POINT OF CONFLICT is through the same trial and got to the line late. BONDI BAY trialled like 1200 would suit fresh. Numbers: 4 – 12 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – TIMELESS GEM WIN RACE 3 TIVACISAURUS settled last at Belmont 7 days ago, was niggled at throughout running but kept coming right to the line over 1650. Gave the impression that 1800 (or even 2000+) would be his go and on the quick back-up he gains the services of Chris Parnham and strikes a race without a lot of depth. Great chance to break through. VANCOUVER STORM and KERMELIA both come through the same race behind Wayne The Pain and there wasn’t much between their respective runs. Will be interesting SP viewing considering last start it was $6 Vancouver Storm vs $71 Kermelia. PSYCHIC SESSION rolls along and stays out of trouble. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 12 – 3 Suggested Bet – TIVACISAURUS WIN RACE 4 KING’S SALUTE looks very well placed here by Dan Morton. Winner of a 3 year old 0MWLY 1400 at Belmont two starts back and then was thrown in the deep end into a 66+ 1600 that contained in form older horses Playhouse Patron and Antique Miss. Wasn’t disgraced into third behind that pair and now drops back into a C3. Looks the right race for him to win again. RELIABLE QUEEN has been a new mare under the care of Meryl Hayley and Laqdar Ramoly seems to get the best out of her. LITTLE SILVER will march across into a prominent position and did a good job last start after being held up on straightening. HUGHBERT beat a limited line-up last start. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 9 Suggested Bet – KING’S SALUTE WIN RACE 5 KRAKEN TIME was a late scratching last Wednesday morning when found to be lame in the off-fore. Naturally a query going into this a week later with that minor set back but still expecting him to take beating. Arguably could have been 3 from 3 at this stage of his career and showed first-up that he doesn’t necessarily need to settle rearwards to win. He’s got versatility and he’s got a big future. DIRTY CHAI maps to get every chance and chased hard first-up behind En Plein Air. Logical danger. TEABISCUIT was allowed to roll last start by Chanel Cooper and it paid dividends. LOMBADINA is a lightly raced filly with an attractive racing pattern. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – KRAKEN TIME WIN RACE 6 CRUISE TO RIO is racing really well. She’s finished third behind subsequent winners Objectify and Sentimental Belle over 1200, been nailed in the shadows over 1400, finished off hard in a fast run mile behind Stylish Lord (subsequent winner Gratias Deo) and then finished an unlucky fifth behind Belmont Guineas and Belmont Oaks quinella Petrouchka & Luvnwar. Hard to knock. IHTSAKING got out of the ground late last start behind I Dreamed A Dream and comes ack into a C1. He’s definitely looking for ground. MR TALENTINO loomed into that race before fading out late. BUCKLAND rolls along in front. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 3 – 13 Suggested Bet – CRUISE TO RIO EACHWAY RACE 7 RED DWARF was eye catching fresh over 1400, pretty stiff in the Stylish Lord/Gratias Deo/Cruise To Rio/Ihtsaking race second-up and then raced outside his weight division in the SW Cup. This looks an open and even race and from the draw Lucy Fiore should have him midfield with cover and winding up into it late at an eachway quote. THE GREAT ONE has come back in excellent order for a rising 10 year old. He has been getting back and finding the line like he wants further and now steps out to 1800m. SUPER ROMANI has had an interrupted preparation and can be forgiven for one below par performance. QUEEN OF JERUSALEM is looking for a third straight win since returning to Adam Durrant. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – RED DWARF EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,6 3,4,10 2,3,5 1,2,3,7,8,11,15 Market Market
