Scott Embry’s Thursday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 18, 2024June 18, 2024 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 UUKHAI can’t quite find the right race at the minute to break through, however, is going well enough to win. Second to Justabittapress first-up, third behind Magicash (subsequent winner) and Rocking Gem (subsequent winner) second-up and then ran into a hot Joker’s Grin last Thursday at Northam. Backing up off 7 days and drawn to park close handy. Getting very close now. DELICATE RULER was an excellent debut when showing plenty of grit late. Winner of that race Sir Eyrelton looks a handy type and it’s straight to the front for him. ZEEZEA almost won a 0MWLY first-up and then went under in a maiden. Pike back is a massive bonus. TIVACISAURUS got to the line powerfully in his most recent trial. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – UUKHAI WIN RACE 2 PROCESSIO looks a genuine $1.30 pop here (in fact being Pike & Williams could well go off even shorter than that). Chased hard first-up behind Sunlit Fresco (goes around in a C1 1200 on Wednesday at Belmont) and they kicked 6L clear of third being Everlasting Spirit who is in this race. Going to be very, very short. EVERLASTING SPIRIT tried hard in that race and improves for the outing. WHISTLING WARRIOR ran well on debut and Coondle has won of that race since. MR UNIVERSE has shown ability at trials from time to time. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 8 – 3 Suggested Bet – PROCESSIO WIN RACE 3 PROSPECTORS PICK has been to the trials 4x and won every single one of them impressively. Made his debut in a Crystal Slipper as a 2 year old but faded out late and was immediately tipped out for a spell. Resumed in a 3 year old Plate 441 days later and endured a torrid passage finishing at the rear. First time into a maiden, out to 1200m, can lead and control and if he brings his trials to the races he looks hard to beat. KINGS ARTILLERY comes through the My Hidden Universe / Petrouchka / Classic Ruler race that rated through the roof and has been a winner producer. Keep safe. TOURETTO has Pike going on for a claiming apprentice. Tick. HELLS CITI gets every favour. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 12 – 5 Suggested Bet – PROSPECTORS PICK WIN RACE 4 DESIGNER LABEL caught the eye at trials as a massive lump of a horse who looked like he would want 1) blinkers; and 2) distance. Gets an extra furlong here and a set of shades second-up over 1400m. Finished only three quarters behind Maxine’s Wish in that event and looked like he was just about to build some momentum. Could be worth following. THE HILL TRIBE was only grabbed in the final strides by talented 3 year old History Won’t Care first-up. He’s drawn a lemon but Paul Harvey rode him well fresh and he’s a horse with upside. MAXINE’S WISH gets out to 1400m. Will she run the trip? GOLD RUBY was a great debut. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 9 – 15 Suggested Bet – DESIGNER LABEL EACHWAY RACE 5 MARYBEE was in second gear in her recent trial down the back straight at Lark Hill. Finished 1.3L off them but was cruising around and going off her previous trials and preparations there’s clearly something there to work with. Not a whole lot of exposed form to go on in this race and thinking if she can beat the 2 year old then she can win. OUR SHILLAYLEIGH is a 2 year old taking on the older horses but is drawn the outside fence which can be worth lengths. Hard to miss the trial win. Very nice. TIME CONNECTION looks a speedy filly from trials. YA SHISA is very quick and will look to burn across into a spot. Numbers: 9 – 14 – 13 – 4 Suggested Bet – MARYBEE WIN RACE 6 EN PLEIN AIR won well on debut at Northam and then held her own behind Another Strike in a 3 year old 0MWLY. Drawn on the ‘right’ side of the 1000m straight, has tactical speed to hold a spot and looks one of many chances. CHOP SUEY won well first-up track/distance and Coondle has since won out of that event to frank the form. LOST GRAVITY has been knocking on the door recently and is proven down the straight which helps. SAINTLY CITY and SMOKEY MOUNTAIN are very fast and expect that CJP and Luke Campbell are both given licence to let them run against the outside rail. Realistically there are 8 – 9 winning chances in this. Numbers: 13 – 7 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – EN PLEIN AIR WIN RACE 7 SENSESSIONAL was held up the entire length of the straight first-up at 1200m and looked like he had something to offer. Second-up he gets out to 1400m, drawn in the middle of the line and has always promised to go through his grades. When he beat My Hidden Universe to break his maiden he looked good but couldn’t really go on with it from there. This could be his preparation. PLAYING QUEST is always there abouts and from the draw he should be given every possible. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE is probably the more talented of the stablemates but barrier 15/16 won’t help his cause. PANDORA GIRL has a turn of foot if she sees a late split. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – SENSESSIONAL WIN RACE 8 BAY STREET made his WA debut at York in a lowly 46+ over what looked an unsuitable 1300m but found the line well. Second-up he worked home nicely in a C3 1400 behind Makin Prophets and now out to a mile expect we see his best run yet. This should be eachway the field and he’s going along alright. ALBERICH has been supported at stages in betting at both runs since arriving at Mitch Pateman’s stables. Blinkers on, back in grade and drawn to get a nice run. Keep safe. PRO LATTE was a big fresh winner and now drops back into a C5 mile from an ideal barrier draw. FLASH PADDY has returned in excellent order but may have to settle near last from the wide gate. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – BAY STREET EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 9,14 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,11,13 4 1,2,3,7,10,13 Market Market
