He continues to loom into races and not quite finish off. He has his second start in Geraldton, gets back out to a mile, is drawn to park midfield and now that Troy Turner knows him he can put him into the race when need be. Tongue Tie goes on and he can finally break through. Last chance. RANDOM REWARDS heat him home last start and is sure to give him a run for his money again. Her last two have been strong and she’s the clear danger. CYCLONE PIA hasn’t had much luck go her way to date. Getting close. CALICO KID has his first start for Graeme Hammarquist. Showed enough in the metro maidens. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – JURUENA GOLD WIN RACE 2 WESTOZI has been a revelation for Albert Bowtell. The option was there for him to take him to the JC Roberts or the Melvista Stakes in Perth (and I’m sure it was tempting) but instead he’s had 35 days between runs and sneaks in on the minimum in the Northampton Cup. Looking for four on the bounce, stays and gets 5kg weight relief after notching a third consecutive victory last start. He’s tough, he’s in form and he’s hard to beat again. EDMOND was on trial at 1900m. He ran well enough and with a far softer draw he looks like he’ll see out 2125m. ARMED AND READY goes lengths better for Tash Faithfull than anyone else. BLACK MONEY was well found last start ($61 into $15) and showed he’s back. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – WESTOZI WIN RACE 3 BOLD PROPHET has been promising to win a maiden all season. This is his 13th run of the preparation but looks one of his better chances to date. He gets back down to 55kg after the claim for Austin Galati. Austin has returned right where he left off before his injury, 10 rides back for 5 winners. He’s a ripper and in a race without much exposed speed think he can get across on Bold Prophet and win another one. RAGING BEAUTY ran really well at her first outing for Peter Moses. Should pinch one before the season ends. SANABEAU went around any old odds on debut and defied her price tag to finish third. ENDURING MEMORY seems to go well fresh. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – BOLD PROPHET WIN RACE 4 BAKE SOME MAYBES has been going consistently well in town and now heads to a 58+ at Geraldton. Could have gone to the C2 1200 later in the program but why run into Mocha Dream? Looks like the smart move and with the shades going back on expecting him to park over the speed and prove hard to beat. Second to Boots Like Bruce, second splitting Lady Tornado and Playthatfunkymusic, third to Starring Knight and La Dette. It’s good form for a race like this. ASK AN ANGEL is a Midwest weapon. She’s had five starts at Geraldton for 4 wins. She’s a massive danger. PURE DYNAMITE hasn’t been seen for 6 weeks since his impressive last start win. MOORUMBINE next best. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – BAKE SOME MAYBES WIN RACE 5 IHTS CLOSING INN was a nervous watch live for punters and then in replay was an impressive riding display from a talented young apprentice. ZJP had to be patient, had to pick his way through traffic and had to wind her up in limited room and time to snatch victory on the post. Expect she’ll be ridden cold from the wide draw and if she parks three deep with cover, she should go close to winning again. VANMAN has proved hard to catch but his best runs have been under Luke Campbell. Keep safe with the weight off his back. SECRET LAIR looked home last start before Ihts Closing Inn zapped him in the final stride. MYSTIC LOVE next best. Numbers: 6 – 5 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – IHTS CLOSING INN WIN RACE 6 ELIMINATE has been given an 8 week freshen and now returns to the races to try and win another couple before the end of the Geraldton Season. She’s been stiff not to win another two or three races this campaign and whenever she’s had luck on her side she’s been electric. Looks a genuine speed in this and she can blend in midfield with cover and make her run late. ISOLA BAY is one of those speed horses. Great use of the ZJP claim and he knows him extremely well from trials. He’ll fire out to find a spot. PASSPORT has been huge at his last two wins. He’ll be hard to hold out if he sees daylight. THREE SESSIONS is building an impressive record. Looks three deep throughout on paper? Numbers: 8 – 4 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – ELIMINATE WIN RACE 7 MOCHA DREAM looks a class above his rivals again. He sat wide throughout last start but once he hit top gear he was charging away from them at 1100m. He carries an extra kilo, he’s again drawn wide but with the extra 100m thinking he’ll march past these with even luck. Looks like he’ll measure up in town when they elect to take him back to the metro area. JUSTA LIL FAITH has been a wonderful acquisition for Julia Martin this season. Doesn’t know how to run a bad race. COPPING POINTS has been racing well and now gets the services of Troy Turner. Big bonus. WARPIPES deserved the win at Mingenew. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – MOCHA DREAM WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 3,4,9 3,5,6 4,5,6,7,8,12 1 Market Market
