Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 18, 2022February 21, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 PRINCE RAGNAR is a high speed 1000m horse. They’re yet to really let him run and thinking that down the 1000m straight he can get across towards the outside fence and prove too good late. Has been costly in his short career but clearly has a level of ability. BORN TO TALK ran into Arcadia Grace on debut and gave a sighter. Recent trial was sharp and he is also very quick early. STARS APLENTY is drawn on the wrong side but he looks to be a maiden worth following this preparation. Every time he has trialled he has caught the eye. CHERRY CAN RUN can run well fresh. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – PRINCE RAGNAR WIN RACE 2 ART WARRIOR is race hardened and will get the trip. Met with a lot of support two starts ago behind Tell Nothin’ when finishing a well beaten second. Then went back to 1800m and drew an awkward gate. Thinking back out to 2000m is what he is looking for and these staying maidens are raffles. He’s our ticket. TIGER MOVE is unknown at the trip but has all the maiden race form that you want for a race of this nature. Third behind Private Scene and Wednesday’s mile maiden winner Sessions Peak. HARVEY’S ANGEL looks like she’ll stay. Going well. ALLEGIANCE will get back but Troy Turner times his runs brilliantly. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – ART WARRIOR WIN RACE 3 FINEST CLOBBER went around odds on for her debut and finished a solid third behind The Invisible Man and Nitro Fred when not really getting things go her way. Then went to a 3 year old Plate when finishing 4.5L off Policiere, Harmika and Prince Ragnar. Harmika destroyed them on Wednesday and Prince Ragnar will be popular in the opener. Looks the right form and was a strong all the way trial winner recently. RARE ENCOUNTER looks to have ability and looks like she will only get better over further. Likely to get back in typical Peters Investments style but watch for her late. WAR HYMN looked a different horse at trials. Blinkers on, ridden for speed? GOT YA is knocking on the door. Numbers: 8 – 11 – 9 – 6 Suggested Bet – FINEST CLOBBER WIN RACE 4 MY BOY CHRIS was a nice return to racing off the back of a strong trial win. Finished third behind Dazzling Dane who has made that maiden form look sensational when descending upon Guard The Safe late on Wednesday. Should only improve second-up and looks like getting across into a nice position over the top of the speed. Like the look of him. MUSSA joins Adam Durrant and simply looks a different animal. Hard to miss either trial for her return to racing. PADDYS ART was disappointing last start. Regular rider back and drops in distance. BAMBUN BOY an unknown on a dry track. Numbers: 4 – 11 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – MY BOY CHRIS WIN RACE 5 FEUDING returned to racing behind Keeper Sweet and Whos Me Daddy and was a solid return. Should only improve here second-up, is drawn the inside gate and has sufficient tactical speed to box seat. Following Hole In One looks a great map position. HOLE IN ONE was run down in Albany as a beaten favourite. Going to divide opinions but think that the horse who beat him (Currimundi) goes pretty good and he did get up along the cutaway. Takes luck out of the equation and takes beating. WHOS ME DADDY was caught flat footed last start but got going again late. Think he’s looking for further. ALASKAN GOD was well supported in pre-post betting on debut. First-up, no trial, keep safe. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 8 Suggested Bet – FEUDING WIN RACE 6 KELORA is drawn awkwardly and will go round a big price but think this is a nice race for him to run a cheeky one at odds. The first-up run behind State of Power and No Dice was reasonable considering the wide gate and the fact that 1000m was on the short side for him and then stepped straight into a 1400m when he found a bit of bad luck and simply took on horses who are a class above him. Think this is a nice middle ground for him. STRIKE NOW won well on debut. Was only a maiden handicap. So normally he would read up a Narrogin winner, not a Belmont winner. WESTERN RHYTHM is rarely seen in C1 grade. Some of her runs have been excellent throughout her career. SPARKLING JEWEL has looked only fair at trials. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 11 – 8 Suggested Bet – KELORA EACHWAY RACE 7 KICK A GOAL SON has been a popular on-topper of this preview over the last few months. Strong third five starts ago, big win four starts ago, massive in defeat three starts ago, tough watch two starts ago and then probably didn’t quite see out a strong 1560 last start but also wasn’t suited by the way that race was run. Drops back to 1500m, reunites with Clint Johnston-Porter and is drawn a perfect alley. Very hard to toss. SEA WAIF is no slouch and looks like kicking through to lead from gate 1 on her home surface. DANI BELLA can come across and sit to her outside and they’ll control the tempo. JADAVI is a little ripper. Her race pattern means she’ll concede them all a big head start. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 11 – 1 Suggested Bet – KICK A GOAL SON WIN RACE 8 TRIPLE MISSILE returned 8 days ago in the Cyril Flower Stakes and was run off the track at the top of the corner. As Kissonallforcheeks came out, Amasenus was pushed out and Bradley Parnham and Triple Missile were sent high-fiving the outside fence. Provided he has taken no ill effects from the run (and trusting the stable would be protective of their future star) then from barrier 1 and three back the fence he is worth following up on. Big turn of foot and just needs a gap. CLAIRVOYANCE was back to her brilliant, high speed best last start. She’ll come across and she’ll work through her gears. COMING AROUND was eye catching fresh in the Cyril Flower. Big improver here and a genuine chance at double figures. OUTRAGEOUS has had no luck in two WA runs. Paul Harvey on really catches the attention. Numbers: 15 – 9 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – TRIPLE MISSILE WIN RACE 9 MY MATE was a dominant winner on debut for Chris Parnham and Michael Lane. Returns to the races 269 days later for Liz Strempel and Lucy Warwick off the back of two excellent trials. Looks high class and looks like he’ll measure up in far better races than a C1 on a Sunday in time. Think he can stay undefeated. Travels super. MICHELADA is at cross roads. If she can’t fire here in a C1 with only 58kg then they’ll struggle to find the right race for her. BUTTERFLY HOUSE is drawn the outside fence and can reel off sharp closing sections. SOMETHINGREADY was far better than it looks on paper fresh. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – MY MATE WIN RACE 10 ZOUDINI was enormous last start when dropping back to a seemingly unsuitable distance of 1000m. Wide gate doesn’t worry him and provided they can make ground he’s likely to be charging through the line again. ARRACITY is placed to perfection by Brian Kersley here. Dropping out of a 66+ Pearl Classic and a 60+ Graduation when running well on both occasions. From the draw she can settle closer and while she’s probably better known as a wet tracker this looks a great race for her. AMBERGATE ROSE is going well. ZENAZE caught the eye at his return. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – ZOUDINI WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 1,2,3,11 1,2,3,9,15 1,4,5,7 2,6,7,8 Market Market
